Just to introduce myself.
I've started HW collection about 6 months ago. Well, it's all started with the 2007 promotion pack which includes a hotwheels collector box that holds about 20 plus cars and 3 basic HW. Man! since that I've been collecting HW like crazy. On average I spent more than RM500 for toy cars.... Most of my collections are bought from US which cost about RM12 per piece.... wooo!! I still think it worth the money cause you pay for all the models that you like...... I'm starting to collect Kyosho 1:64 SuperGT model too.... Any of you guys like SuperGT? Really looking forward for the NEW GTR model from HLJ.... |

At times I think I was too fanatic about the diecast collection.
Up to date I've splashed more than RM3500 (in 6 months) for buying diecast over the internet. Crazy... ho! Anyway will slow down already..... It's never easy to become HW collector, one must go out for hunting from time to time. I been to Europe last month. Try to look for T-Hunt.... very limited choice as well. I came home empty handed.... One more experience, anyone who want to buy online (from oversea seller. Please don't let the seller to disclose the real value of your purchase at the custom form - Stupid Malaysia custom imposed about 10% duty for toy. ) NEVER show them the real purchase price...... Happy collecting guys!!! |

Well, I guess it's normal for every collector to spend big at the early stage of their collection. As there are lots of ground to make up.
As for my case, I've collected about 80% of the HW cars in my wanted list (all cars before 2008). Nice chating to you "cham2020". Wish you have a great day.... Will upload some of my collections when have free time. |

QUOTE(sinclairZX81 @ May 29 2008, 10:10 PM) Buddy,Just to clarify! I came accross two different type of Ferrari Racers packaging 1. With the F430 card Ferrari 60th Anniversary 1947-2008 2. With the 599GTB card no Ferrari 60th Anniversary 1947-2008. Can anybody clarify this? Is the later card for 2008 release? |

Wow! the pages are growing fast....
I'm still waiting for my HLJ parcel.. wonder the bloody post lost if or not.... 2 superGT cars 2007 Cent Cerumo and 2005 Xanavi nismo.... Haaaa! no tracking number......... Another one from US (cost me RM180), no tracking number also......... Feel kidda giveup the hobby already...... Cham, I'm feeling the same too.... having splashed nearly RM4K for hobby is kidda ridiculous (in last 6 mth). I'm thinking to stop hunting already, as life is short, there are other meaningful things awaiting us to accomplish.... Sometime, I was thinking we are falling into the mattels traps.... they just purposely produce the collector wanted models in small qty..... thereby allowing seller to jack up price (esp: eBay).... Anyway, that's my point of view..... Happy hunting to you guys..... |
