About Arjun:
For Arjun Vagale, DJing has never been about just mixing a few choice tunes: it’s about understanding the needs of people and taking them to that special place through sound. With his phat baselines, piercing arps and use of the groundbreaking Ableton Live software with various controllers, he has set new standards within the electronic music circuit in India.
In 2006 he released his first single, “Stomper”, on Moon Tribal Records with a remix from the mighty Moonbeam. It gained support from international DJs such as Moshic, G-Pal and Nick-K. Sasha’s manager from Excession also asked for the track. Arjun is probably the first Indian DJ to have reached the Balance Record Pool Charts and DJ Magazine’s Hype Charts. Remixing Fitalic’s “No Way Out” was even shortlisted for Nick Warren’s Global Underground Paris. This release was followed by “Beautiful Rising” on Helvetica Recordings and was supported by all A-list DJs such as Kasey Taylor, Parham, Mashtronic and Benz & MD. Due to its huge success, it was re-released in mid 2007 with fresh remixes. The Cartel is always busy in the studio and has many releases lined up on labels such as Baroque Records (UK), Soul Tribe Records (Germany), Pure Substance Records (Malaysia), Segment Records (UK) and Underground Lesson (Greece).
