particles is the same as atom, different name. thats wat my teacher told me in form1.

Take it this way, atom is a singular and molecules is plural. An atom stand by its own is called an atom, two atoms bonding together are called molecules.

there are 120 different Atoms ..such as carbon, oxygen, hydrogen..etc

Molecules are made up from atoms. Such as water = H2O ( 2 atoms of hydrogen and 1 atom of oxygen)

therefore atoms are smaller than molecules
