particles is the same as atom, different name. thats wat my teacher told me in form1.

Atom is a neutral particle of an element.
Molecule is made up of at least 2 atoms by electron sharing(covalent bond)

Take it this way, atom is a singular and molecules is plural. An atom stand by its own is called an atom, two atoms bonding together are called molecules.
