Just joined in this thread, according to the tittle of this thread,
the answer should be, the Water Purifier + inside the replacement component, must be at least NSF 42 + NSF 53 fully certified. biggrin.gif

Very long to read all.

Simple question

I need filter that can remove heavy metal.
Bacterial I don't mind to have it.

Any suggestion?

And with uv kill bacterial,
the uv healthy to us?
*
Water Purifier with NSF Standard 53 tested & certified will remove most of the contaminants which including heavy metals as well. We may don't mind to have Bacteria in our water but there are still have others micro-organisms such like Viruses or Cycts in our water too.

Well, UV technology is safe to use and also need to be tested & certified by NSF Standard 55 using in Water Purifier. UV light was first used to treat water in 1919. It also well recognised as an method for treating water without the use of chemicals. It is often used by food processors, beverage companies, bottled water suppliers, pharmaceutical manufacturers and others to treat water used in their production processes.

Thanks for such good healthy info above, but seriously, where is the source that claim Diamond Brand is #1 Alkaline Water Specialist in Singapore?

Most importantly, do the company have minimum of NSF Standard 42 + NSF Standard 53 tested & certified for the Water Purifier? hmm.gif

So currently what brand is certified for the nsf 53?
*
So far there only few brand only in Malaysia are both NSF 42 + 53 tested & certified.
My house is using eSpring which is both above standard tested & certified and an extra of NSF Standard 55 as well because Water Purifier consists of UV Light.

If any other brand you currently surveying or someone trying to approach you and you not sure about it,
you can search their brand/model here: http://nsf.org/Certified/DWTU/

* Smart consumer will never buy a water purifier that do not have 3rd party NSF International tested & certified.

Because it's the filter that is the most important thing. You don't need to pay for fancy machineries and gadgets.

And checkout the replacement parts and schedule for the other brands as well, I'm quite sure Aquasana will work out to be lesser.

The AQ-4000 Counter Top Filter as mentioned on their website got misleading information.
They claimed to be NSF 42 & NSF 53 certified with able to filter up to 1000gallons(3785liters) or 1years (which ever comes first).

Arcording to NSF Database search here: http://nsf.org/Certified/DWTU/Listings.asp...yName=Aquasana&
Their AQ-4000 this model only able to filter up to 450gallons(1703liters).
Replacement Parts are RRP RM339 which is as low as RM0.20/litres.
* price which is exclude installation fee (which mean you have to DIY to save costs)

Of course, afterward we still have to use conventional method boilling to kill bacterial, viruses and cysts.

I get info from a saler
One set filter price is around 500
10000gallon
Maybe type wrongly.
Any idea where got agent in johor bahru area?

AQ-4000 Counter Top Filter
1000gallons = 3785liters - Misleading Info
450gallons = 1703liters - Info from NSF Website

RM500 for 1703liters? Seriously bro? blink.gif Which is even higher than the website RRP.
Which mean every single liters of water your whole families drink is as low as RM0.29/liters

Better double check the replacement filter price or else you will end up high maintenance fee every years.
Do not ever trust dealer words can filter how long or many, read their reports performance claims provided by the Company & NSF International website.
