i'm scouting for a loan below 100K, say 80K, tenure around 12-15yr.
tried to look for some of the bank website, found out not many of them offering good rate, and one of them sound like dont offer anyting around this figure one...

below are my finding:

maybank: BLR++ or never update their website

rhb: cant find the link, or broken link

citibank: didnt say the min loan amount

cimb: seem like offering a few good rate, but it says: "available for expatriates from 29th September 2007 to 31st December 2007", so for local ppl, the offer still valid ha?....anybody got any comment on this loan?

standard charterd: got few good package, but didnt specify the min loan amount, didnt specify the rate

hsbc: nothing in the website is useful at all

hong leong: saw 3 types, 1 need >100K, another need >200K, another one <60K... so seems like they don do for something 60-100K one...

currently i'm trying to get a basic idea of which bank giving wat kind of loan, before i actually take a day off visiting them... But i was so sad when i found out all the website cannot be reliable at all...

Anybody know any updated website where they put all the bank latest rate altogether?? coz i've been reading most of the topic here, and the piece was here and there... some were outdated... or anybody can recommend any good one? thank you all sifu-sifu here...

u can still get , interest rate not attractive only.

Most banks does accept loan below 100K but usually there is no zero entry cost package. Rate use will be the published rate.
You should check out Alliance and OCBC

well i assume u making loan to purchase a property (house or factory)?

alliance and cimb have pretty good offers as far as i remember.

try checking out iproperty, they have recommendations on bank loans depending on total loan, loan tenure, lowest overall interest rate, etc. very good reference before you approach the bank regarding the specific package that you're interest in.

i think the entry cost won be that high... so should b alright... but published rate... where can i find? as i said, all their website like very outdated one

is zero entry cost = free moving cost?

Does ZEC = all the fees are free, or are they being added into the loan, and we have to paid it later?

ZEC is not free. ZEC rate is definitely higher than non-ZEC rate.

For non ZEC, you have to pay for the lawyer fees, valuation fees, stamp duty. etc..

went to CIMB today... the rate is quite competitive...

First 3 yr : 4.7% (NFMC), 5.0% (FMC)
Thereafter: BLR - 1.8% (NFMC), BLR - 1.55% (FMC)

at least their rate is for price UP TO RM 300K...

For em... 70K loan, which 1 should i take leh? with Free Moving Cost or the one without? Anybody can give idea on what will be the rate for the lawyer fee, valuation fee, & stamp duty? what about MRTA?

y dont u take full loan ( 100K+ ) with flexi package then pay back the 20K extra within the 1st few months ? just park it there to reduce interest.

I has noticed tat everyone here are just talking about the interest rate only. Does everyone really go study the bank loan products and facilities? Nowadays almost every bank has a product called 'flexi loan' (actually this products in the market got more than 6 years already) this really helps the borrowers save a lot money. Just want to sharing with u guys.

public bank rate not attractive at all... many people said PBB charge everything slightly higher than other bank. My friend working in banking field also said the same... so far the best i know is CIMB


cannot leh... the purchase amount is less than 100K, cannot change liao... owner dont want to markup the price...

read the page, sure they will only talk about their benefit. I'm trying to get something simple and direct. That's why i go straight away to the most competitive rate. The facilities, are my second option... coz i'm trying to go for fast settlement (if can la) heheh... maybe next time when i get a bigger amount with longer term, then i'll find a loan with good facilities, etc...

i just came back from CIMB... The personnel told me:

fixed loan: i got my monthly installment amount. Extra payment can be made, but i re-use it back once it is put into the account. And it will reduce the principle, hence the interest will also be lower

flexi loan: same monthly installment amount, plus a current account. Extra payment can be made and withdraw anytime. But the extra payment will only help to reduce the interest, instead of the principle directly, hence it wont help so much in saving the total amount i paid.

is that right? suddenly i was lost... anybody can help?
