Realistic (Still able to eat good grade grass):
-40D kit only lor...

Still long long way... (Have to eat dry and shitty grass)
-D90
-1 50 1.4
-1 18-200 3.5-5.6or something like that...

Am really keen to start DSLR'ing, cannot decide to get down to earth immediately or wait a lil longer for extra funds to aid my dream. Somemore, with Nikon's "check" move, can i even think ahead??? Any news of Canon to follow Nikon's suit???

F/4.0 isn't really 'fast'.
Fast would be something like the 50mm f/1.8. Or even faster, the 50mm f/1.2L brows.gif brows.gif

I'm not going for the 17-40 because of the USM, I dont have much experience in USM anyway doh.gif
Anyway I'm not one who would fork out a lot more money just to have more silent focusing. icon_idea.gif

85mm f1.8 USM - Superb fast focusing + very sharp lens for portrait.

Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 - Big aperture walkaround lens.

Cano 580exII Speedlite - Night shots will never be the same again.
