QUOTE(wongyy @ May 18 2008, 10:46 PM) Hi, 1. I think 10,000KM service interval is for using Semi Sync or fully Sync engine oil. For mineral better change at 5000KM.I would like to book a new Saga, but I have some question on service and safety which cannot get good answer from Proton. I ask Proton live chat, Proton I care, Proton service centre, all cannot give/ no sure the answer. 1. As mention by some website, Proton Saga BLM design to service interval of 10,000km by using mineral lubricant. But the some service centre told me 10,000km service, some told me 5,000km service, some even 10,000km but using expensive fully syntetic lubricant, don't know which is true. 2. And the ATF changing, some SC said 20,000km, some told me 80,000km, which is correct, can experts advice? 3. The safety rating of this car, we cannot get the answer from Proton. Why Proton unable to let us know the safety rating, this no need to hide from consumer. Thanks! 2. In the manual book ATF only need to be change at 40000KM. But there is no harm changing at 20000KM. 80000KM I dont dare to try 3. No comment. But i personally think this car is safe for its comfortable ride and stable handling at speed not more than 120KM/H |

QUOTE(-storm- @ May 18 2008, 11:24 PM) i think because it's still in the running in period that's why need to change at 5000KM interval. After the 3rd service you can stick to 10000KM interval but only if u use semi or fully sync engine oil.. |

QUOTE(-storm- @ May 18 2008, 11:28 PM) haha actually 10000KM interval is only for fully sync engine oil. But some people just stretch the service interval to 10000KM using semi sync oil.. Now i'm using mineral oil only for my first service cause still in the running in period and the service interval is 5000KM.On my 3rd service i'm planning to change to semi sync oil and service interval to 7000KM would be good enough. |

QUOTE(ching4ever @ May 18 2008, 11:44 PM) LOL, different with you, I hate to see many lights here and there, it make my eyes hurt when driving in a fully dark road (50-60% I'm driving at old road with full dark environment). Actually u are rite.. but hehe i just like it when there light inside the car.. i'm afraid of the dark For me, only the keyhole light is really important, other just useless. 1) gear see at meter is much more easier (come on, why need to turn your head while you can look straight to meter?) 2) power window (do you always open window at night time? for me it is kinda useless to have light) 3) side mirror (I never adjust it anymore since the first day I adjusted and drive the car, unless someone adjust it). Added on May 18, 2008, 11:52 pmthat day when i send my car for the first service, there is a new persona with IAFM.. get to listen to the sound when it starts, it sounded the same as ours (like perdana V6) but more powerful duno how to describe.. i like the sound when my blm starts hehe.. today when i'm on my way back from kelana jaya to cheras using Kesas Highway.. for the first time pushed my car to 130 km/h.. the wind noise below the speed of 110 km/h is ok.. but more than that the wind noise is so terrible.. is it normal? Cos the sound its kinda loud..

QUOTE(hugo_chong @ May 31 2008, 08:08 PM) i bought my car from EON as well.. first i thought to bring my car for the first service at a so call big EON service centre but their service its just so slow and lousy.. then i just drove to a 'small' Proton Edar service centre nearby.. Once my car reach, a nice girl come serve me, i gave her my car key, then she ask me to go inside the office for registration. Choose the package i want, told them the problems of my car then they start to service my car.. after service, a free car wash. Go home with a fresh new sparkling car I think whether you bought your car from EON or Proton Edar, you can send your car for service to any both of their service centre as you just need to show them your service coupon. |

QUOTE(ProX @ May 31 2008, 10:37 PM) if you bought from proton edar, you can bring to EON. However, you need to bring your car registration card. I bought my car at EON 3S centre at jalan sungai besi.. I bought my car there cos the SA i bought my car from is actually my fren's father.. but the service centre is just a disappointment I brought my car to proton service centre but they refuse to service for me because i do not want to use petronas engine oil supplied by them. I end up getting spare parts from them and go to normal workshop to change it. Babylck: which proton service centre did you go? This is the service centre i went to: Hanconplex Sdn Bhd No. 610 Jalan Pudu 55100 03-9285 3366 - 03-9200 2540 |

QUOTE(-storm- @ Jun 8 2008, 09:16 PM) Still don't understand how the rats get to live under your car since u constantly moving your car it wont be a feasible choice. Buy rat poison la and poison all of them. bcos normally after i came home from work around 6-7pm i seldom move the car after that.. maybe at nite when the engine is still warm, the rats found it a nice place to sleep and have party |

QUOTE(ivanau88 @ Jun 8 2008, 11:12 PM) my fc is very high.i cannot tahan watching my indicator dropping d! dont worry.. after your first service it will improve.. mine before first service were around 20 - 21 cents/km and then after the first service drop to 1.7 - 1.8 cents/km both when the fuel price is at RM1.92/kmlets make the calculation.I pumped twice only.once before fuel increased and once after fuel price increase. 1st pump, Rm50 = 50/1.92 = 26.0417 liter 2nd pump, Rm30 = 30/2.7 =11.11 liter. Total millage is only 240++km and now left 2 bars only.... bad rite? comments guys? I am not any heavy foot driver. i rev around 2k-3k and driving at almost 60-70 km/h cause i am only driving around housing area only.. |
