QUOTE(Gemeniswong @ May 16 2008, 06:35 PM) Bite..that normal for dog, they bite...just take time to teach cookie. Herbie also bite my fingel, but when i said no...she will trun bite to lick. yep..You try to place a ticking clock beside cookie, that the advice i read from the dog onwer here. Some work some not. Added on May 16, 2008, 6:37 pmnocturn3 , please take some pics and share you cookies here. i'll try this method... btw, another petshop owner taught by keeping cookie back to the cage once he bite.. at first, i tot it works but still.... he bites again... emm.. tried to take some pics of cookie, but too dark cant see clearly of his colour.. so, still in progress editin his photos.. lol This post has been edited by nocturn3: May 18 2008, 01:35 AM |

QUOTE(sinv @ May 16 2008, 10:39 PM) u can get more toys for him/her. my guess is she/he don't know how to play with the toys u bought. Like my dog, i bought him a ball since he is 3months old, i think until he is 5months old only he started to play with it cos he cant bite the ball when he is small. You can try to get him some rope type toys and nylon bone. They usually loves this 2. Biting is really normal to a dog, u have to teach them what they can/cannot bite. like telling them no when they bite the thing they are not supposed to bite. you cant expect them to learn it in 1 day as we, human also don't understand what they barking for. so give cookies n urself some time. hey gal, after i get ur reply As for barking, puppy usually gets very stressful when they 1st goes to ur house. They are with their mum n sibling since they are bone until they reached ur house. They are quite attached to us so gives them sometime. tickling alarm clock helps to calm them down at night cos they will usually assume is their mummy's heartbeat. you may try it out. i just got him nylon bone and rope toys which recommended by the petshop owner.. cookie seems like it alot.. cookie play wit it, no time barking oso.. (sometimes still will larh..) but cookie still luv to bites.. getting harder oso.. (mayb he thought we're playng wit cookie once we pointed at him n say NO) now once cookie bites we will put cookie back to the cage.. "good thing" is, cookie barks in d morning around 7 smth while we still sleeping.. btw usually what age , you guyz will let ur doggie out without keeping them in d cage? im afraid cookie pee everywhere again when i let him sleep wif me.. or is it once he knows where to poo n pee? i hv a mini pincher back at my hometown, he sleep with me but poo n pee outside at d car porch.. dats wat i wan to train cookie to be my m.pincher.. some petshops owner say this age is most "critical" time for them as we shud discipline now... (actually i went to few petshops to ask d same ques whether is there any method to stop him from biting n barking.. Added on May 18, 2008, 1:54 am QUOTE(elsie2602 @ May 18 2008, 01:39 AM) hey your cooper is 2 months old now? almost same age with cookie jus dat he's few weeks younger..hiak hiak ... yehh urs is light brown.. and its exactly d same toy in my car which i bought it from lovely lace few yrs back.. lolzzz .. hey , got ques here, any pet lovers would like to ans me? =) would be a great help to me..
my cookie is actually has ear mites and thats wat the petshop owner told me after a few dayz later (where i get him from) as i see that he keep scratch his ears till "throw temper" =.= n when i get back to the shop, d petshop owner told me dat she will inject for cookie tmr bcoz his condition getting serious now.. and i was thinking, is it safe for him to get injection just to kill those mites as he's just 8 weeks ?!! but she replied she hv seek advise from a vet and ask me not to worry.. but still, im quite worry n sad oso lar.. u know 8 weeks puppy need to go for 3 times injection everyweek to kill off the mites.. kinda pity n heart broken once imagine his pain at such young age.. but somehow im quite frustrated as well as the petshop not honest in doing her biz.. she shud let me know earlier so dat i can bring him to vet for early treatment!!! mayb she think i might turn back if i knew dat.. but she's wrong la.. once i saw cookie, i kno he's mine.. no matter wat skin disease he hav, i stil get him back.. (jus like on d first day she told me he has dandruff =.=) worse come to worst will bring him to vet.. p/s: i did use frontline to kill the mites, but until i show cookie to the petshop she told me he's quite serious therefore need to hv injection to kill the mites instead of apply medication.. sighhhh~~~~ -helpless- |
