I heard that I should have her shaved, so that the new fur will grow much nicer. Is it true? But I can't bear to see her naked lahhhhh

Added on May 14, 2008, 1:52 pmI have never heard anyone shaving their puppy to make their fur grow nicer b4. trimming on their fur monthly should help. puppy usually do not have full grow fur until they are turning into 1 year old. Lucky will be more prettier n prettier.

Yalor Ive seen Black n Grey poodles b4 but i really like the Silver one but very rare..

Nana ah, she is fine ah..more stable and mature liao. Oh finally Im giving Nana Health n Shine to help her cure her tear stains lor..im seeing improvements on her eyes and hopefully it will cure it and wont come back lor..then shall groom her until she looks pretty like a teddy bear..

We have a dog gathering this coming Sunday..shall update pics of her later if anyone happens to snap her photos but my Mookie always seems to be the center of attention because of her size.

It must be the lighting, Lucky's color is much lighter than Amos's cafe au lait Wanted to get a dark brown toy poodle similar to Amos as when lay flat it will look like carpet However, it's really very rare and hard to get. Friends even joked that with that kind of dark color when you take a picture of the doggie, his/her feature will not be visible at all In the end got Lucky which I think is fated to be mine. Can't forget her innocent look when I first held her

Thanks for your advice. Was wondering why Lucky doesn't seem to have very curly hair compare to other toy poodle.

Not all poodles have curly hair..some will shave their poodle botak many times hoping the hair that grows back will be curlier but very hard to say one..some will work n some wont..my Nana eh hair also not curly one until now..we shave her like 2-3 times liao..her hair is soft like carpet nia and not curly..

aiks...i purposely wanted to spell it correctly but still spells wrongly..

Added on May 14, 2008, 4:22 pmIf Amos hair is long, the outside fur also not that curly. but the inner new grow hair are very curly. as u comb more their hair usually get straighter n straighter too. i like Amos's ear, not-so-curly curl

They are using a brand called Lambert Kay, every 2 weeks we will use Sunsilk conditioner on them..and on top of that i feed them Omega 3 oil mix with their kibbles..

so far my cooper's fur nit tht curly also...like Sinv said inner part will be curly abit

is it ok let their use human product?

ic. i think human conditioner can works better n more economy but i worry my doggy swallow it so i dare not try on him.

pure white?!!? whr to get a pure white poodle? i like peach color 1~hehe

Most of the toy poodle doesn't comes with cert. Ours has no cert.

I just feed herbie HnS start last 2 weeks ald, hope to see improvement..but still same...and i still need to clean tear stain daily, the amount still same. Hopefully after 2 months later will be improve....

u got trim herbie the stain when u started to feed her?

i like Dark Brown n Red. If im getting another doggie will definately get a red toy.

Sinv, my 1st choice was red toy poodle...but sudah habis...sigh...end up..i choose the darkest colour loh...

If i am going to get next poodle will go with same color as Amos.

Amos hard to get....one and only that belongs to Sinv

No le.. I sometime will add some glucose to rendam her kibble.. But about two months dint let her drink ady..
She from baby til now is like that liao..
Doctor said she need drink more water, if not seizure will come again

I tries to play with Amos until he is very tired then he drinks lotsa water.

i think quite normal that ur rourou pee 2 times aday. how old is rourou??
As the puppies grow elder, they learn to tahan bladder better. the elder pee the lesser time.

5 Years old.. Cause she sleep with me, then won't pee on room, i think she train herself to tahan.

to me i think is normal lo. most of thh dog i know which is 3 years old onwards pees only 1-2times aday.

owh...didin know that...i need to monitor then...

Orh.. But she don't drink water wor.. Just now force her drink. She dont want.

Then you can try to give her Ice cube......

I keep ask her drink. Take the bowl infront of her.. She just use side eye to see me. And don't even want move her body -.-"

Amos very scare i leave him in car, once i stop engine he jump like hell wana get down together with me

Amos every morning will lick lick me very long when i wake up..he knows how to tam his mummy also

She will lick me at 7.30 am Very tired.. I want sleep, she lick me up..

Same with Nana one..Nana will lick me when she is awake..if i ask her go wake up his Papa, he will go lick my husband to wake him up..hehe

they know who is Mamma and Papa....every morning also 7.30am sharp..cooper will lick my hand...coz he can onli reach my hand. then lick non stop.till i carry him...continue to lick my face...french kiss with me..then onli let me go mandi...cute

Looks like our dogs wake up at the same time... Lucky wakes me up every morning at 7:30. As my bed is high and she is still small, she can't climb up to my bed to lick me... But she will try to make all kinds of noise like scratching the bed frame and running around the apartment(I put a bell on her neck) till I carry her up the bed and she will lick my face non stop if I continue sleeping. I cannot imagine what will happen when she is big enough to jump up the bed

usually morning they just lick lick only, wont be naughty. until i sit up only Amos jumping playing with me
but day time when he playing my bed is part of his favorite place lah, jump up n down non stop.

Lucky is so naughty, everytime when I'm at home she will go to the toilet to pee pee and poo poo. But when I'm out she always... do it ANYWHERE in the house. I have to clean the mess everytime I'm back. Really don't know how to stop her from doing that

bring her to the crime scene and teach her, let her smell then scold her bad girl.

Tried to do it and I think she got frightened and the next time, she ate her own shit after she committed the crime! This is another headache....

haha Amos also eating shit one, but more to playing shit. vet told me to teach him cannot eat n beat his mouth slightly right after he eat. but this method doesnt work on Amos. Jenny use pepper to scare his dog away from poo. it works on Mikey. u may try out also.

Same happen to herbie, she will go to toilet when i am around...but when not at home..come back from work..nightmare. But i noties she only do it only 2 places...one ..infront of toilet door...(Maybe too Kap) or underthe Kitchen wash Sink.

They don't know to spit too. i think better not, later kill ur herbie. Actually eating shit has no harm to dog at all. so no need to worry about eating some bad bacteria or what.

help!!~!~!!\my 7 wk poodle keep on biting meeeeee and every thing in my room.. once i keep it into the cage, n he keep on barking.. i tot he was suppose to stay in the cage as where i bought it from a petshop..
no matter how i teach, he still bite everywhere.. blanket, pillow, plastic bags sighhh...
and during at nite, once i keep it into d cage, he barks until my hsemate couldnt get sleep... sighhh

Get a toys for him or her to bite on....They like nylon stuff...special sock. I dont experiance on barking when keen in the cage, herbie dont bark at all.....i just heard once since i got her. She just bagging when people walk pass by when she in cage.

yeah i did get a toy for him to bite but he insist to bite others as he dun even take a "bite/look" at his toy.. geeezzz..
yep.. his name is cookie actually.. he sleep wit me in d same room jsu dat he still young, thats y i keep it ind cage as he will pee o poo everywhere d next day i wake up.. anyway i jus got it yest
orhh.. ur herbie dont bark btw is there any other way to stop him from barkin once kept in d cage..

Bite..that normal for dog, they bite...just take time to teach cookie. Herbie also bite my fingel, but when i said no...she will trun bite to lick.

You try to place a ticking clock beside cookie, that the advice i read from the dog onwer here. Some work some not.

u can get more toys for him/her. my guess is she/he don't know how to play with the toys u bought. Like my dog, i bought him a ball since he is 3months old, i think until he is 5months old only he started to play with it cos he cant bite the ball when he is small. You can try to get him some rope type toys and nylon bone. They usually loves this 2. Biting is really normal to a dog, u have to teach them what they can/cannot bite. like telling them no when they bite the thing they are not supposed to bite. you cant expect them to learn it in 1 day as we, human also don't understand what they barking for. so give cookies n urself some time.

As for barking, puppy usually gets very stressful when they 1st goes to ur house. They are with their mum n sibling since they are bone until they reached ur house. They are quite attached to us so gives them sometime. tickling alarm clock helps to calm them down at night cos they will usually assume is their mummy's heartbeat. you may try it out.

as sinv mention and i learnt from her as well...:)it works just need sometimes...same techniques for the barking as well...as long as we, as dog parents is patient enough, they will soon get the idea
