hey guys i'm new to this pet dog thing again (can't remember when was the last time i had a dog) anyways my folks brought home a 2 month old toy poodle just a couple days ago (which they announced a day or two prior that they were getting one) so i'm kinda lost right now on how to handle it etc etc...ok first concern...whining!! what am i supposed to do when it whines especially at night? i know it's scared and all and she calms down alot when i let her out of her cage...but when it's time to head to bed she'll just go on and on and on...any advice? teach me o' great masters of the poodle!!
few ways u can try to calm ur furkids as she is stressful when brought to new environment.
1. don't run to her when she is whinning at night. you need to train her to sleep the same time as urs.
2. get a tikling alarm clock and place near ur pup at night, she will thought that was her mummy's heartbeat.
3. if 2. doesnt work, maybe u can let her see ur face while sleeping, like place her cage near to ur bed, she will most probably stop whining when she sees ur face when she wakes up at nights.
remember not to bath her 1st 5 days since she was brought to ur house.
