mmm...there r much other solutions on how to do ringtones transfer, either manually edit in sound editing application and then transfer using iTunes, or by creating the ringtones on the iPhone itself.

3 easy ways to get ringtones into iPhone, just choose one:

- convert ringtones into AAC format, and change the extension of m4a into m4r and then u can transfer it using iTunes. make sure the duration is under 40 seconds

- use 3rd party applications such as iPhone Ringtone Maker on the computer

- edit and create ringtones on the fly on your iPhone using Ringtones. yup, that's the name.

choose the one that u like.

iphone can't send picture or songs via bluetooth...

i'm afraid that the bluetooth stack in iPhone doesn't support file transfer.
btw u can still perform transfer to other iPhone or Mac via wifi using Dropcopy.
or maybe u haven't done enough research before doing your purchase on the iPhone, or maybe u got it as a gift?
mmm...btw u can always refer to the iPhone FAQ thread about it

vii) Bluetooth on the iPhone can be used for wireless headset pairing ONLY and it can only be used for answering calls. So that means you can't stream audio to it, you can't transfer files, do hardware syncs etc. (credit: c_calvin)

hmm what if i convert 1 whole song, can it still be used as ringtones?  doh.gif

the 30-40 sec limitation is only if using method 1 or 2. if u use Ringtones software on the iPhone itself u r free to set either to use the whole song or portion of it. just like on SendSong, u can pick any song u want, but in addition u can edit the song in Ringtones.

mmm...btw as from what i've observed, any calls will only ring for about 38 seconds maximum no matter what phone i use (on maxis, dunno if the duration will be different on other telcos). so maybe it's better to just edit the song. the phone will not ring endlessly.

Added on May 14, 2008, 9:41 amopps, this iBrickr 0.91 thread turns into Ringtones thread, sorry sorry...
