following or not, what the sifu-sifu here said is right la. u have to find someone who is willing to take u out, somemore......u cant just find anyone to go out cos if anything happened, who is going to be responsible? somemore, do u have the right equipment? borrowing for me is a no no la cos if patah...die lor....old rod for a new one....better spend on my own and at the same time, learn wat equipment tat i should get. i'm learning too, bottom fishing reel tat everyone recommend is a killing if fish in kelong or thos shallow water.

btw, i got to know that my revo toro can be used for some bottom fishing n jigging..haha...24lbs drag....better than some of those round ones. as said, i've met ppl along the 'learning' journey....last week i've sent a query to purefishing (distributor of abu, berkley n etc) and i got a reply from the product/marketing manager and he is a fishing kaki. also he is a mfn member n he does have the patience n nice too. even asked me to see him at his office to learn baitcasting and if there is a group that wanted to learn, he can organize a clinic for that.

i think build the friendship first then only talk about trip. haha.....like wat i'm doing at sabre now......slowly.......if cant fish, then also can make friends n get knowledge (if ppl are willing to share la but most will tell u their stories cos they are proud of it). right? i might be wrong but..this is wat i had gone through.....wat i learned through fishing is patience (fishing but not in tackle buying) and at the same time, u met lots of nice ppl....see things.....although i had never done any boating before..haha.

calvin, i might sound rude but this is wat i had gone through.....some ppl are nice and some are nasty. some will say that they will tag u along but never did....jus need to get to know them n if they are comfortable with u, then it is time to ask..."may i?!" haha.......just met more ppl and u'll never knew that they are a crazy fishing kaki, u will never knew. my friends dad is a fishing kaki too, she is going to intro me to her dad....haha...

also, i got to met some nice ppl at the star and suddenly someone from the north is inviting 'us' to join him to fish at his fren fish farm in kedah, food+accom (correction...beers also...hehe) is included. but hope that they will extend the invitations to me if not then.......wat to do? u cant force them ma.......just enjoy the journey lor....somemore make friends, u will never knew wat u will get!! 'life is like a box of chocolate' or 'life is like using dedak, u will never knew if it still there' haha.......learn to be slowly la, i've learned.....jus let it steady....then things will come......

still learning la. fishing for the sake of getting together with friends, making friends n enjoy the learning, that would add more to the fun....fish would be the consolation prize. haha....

aii.....(non fishing related)today suppose to have an office dinner but my team is dumping me to work alone in the office. my team lead even got the cheek to ask me to go at 8pm when it starts at 6pm. 'so called' top consulting company.........rubbish.....everyone is going and i've to stay...give up hope and planning to ciao......first time work with 'dau si' and never ever work for one anymore!!

hmm......thanks for that remark...again. i'm a newbie but i think....there should be a respect ('not step on new, praise on old' to make self felt better. ppl should be humble....)....anyway i apologize for my past comment and maybe this is my karma. it would be better tat i stop posting here n there. hehe.....anyway, thanks for all the advice guys/girls. really appreciate it!!

sorry, tumpang glamour for awhile. went to practice my baitcasting for the first time at semenyih dam with a minnow for nearly 2 hrs. kept casting and casting...only 2-4 major birdnest and the rest.......nice....haha. birdnest due to lost 'concentration'.....i cast quite hard (no backlash la) and further than spinning (using same lure but thicker line) .....not bad for baitcasting...

anyway, who said we cant learn baitcasting online+reading? hahaha.....sign off.......
