suffix line can get it at the pandan mewah tackle shop, they got a lot. but most braided lines are light n strong....jus wondering wat kite u're flying leh? later the price of the line is more than the kite but i guess u wont be flying those cheapo kites la.
bro, i also kena psycho by the sabre guy to buy one pack of braided line, got the cheapest which is around rm48/140yrds. try out n at the same time, scared of losing my lures liao. but still keep it la cos too expensive to use it on normal fishing. wait till i am ok with the baitcast reel, then reel on it.........

the stx, gave up. found the revo inshore....between stx n toro. so now waiting for the sabre to look for me the left side ones, if got then buy from them. else, wait or just get the cardinal 704 first...hehe....cos i dont think my cardinal 104 can tahan the saltwater. got one cardinal 707LX which is way too huge which can multitask for jigging n casting.....

bro, the problem is...none of my frens are into fishing. so have to rely on new found friends to let me tag along. wanna try on a boat, the sabre gang asked me to tag along but u know la....ppl, saying is easier than doing. sometimes not tat i'm hangat-hangat tahi ayam but just tat sometimes u cant do things alone leh.....

equipment.....buying...haha.......i mean i'm planning to get the revo inshore+cardinal 704 for saltwater fishing.
tie knots, know  the basic ones and currently learning to tier the mono to braided, so far ok la.
live in boat....i think can la, jus need to prepare to get the pills first. i dont have problem with others as long as the ppl are fine.

so...got it but no kaki lah.......i cant book the whole boat to fish alone, right? somemore my father is not uncle lim....so........so if got chance, hope tat here could plan for a fishing trip.

i'm looking for a gear that can serve few types of fishing. for now, i got the freshwater only.....if put it in the saltwater, sure hancur. so plan to get one saltwater spinning reel tat can be used for casting n some jigging cos the baitcast reel is still learning. btw, i get the baitcasting reel cos for casting lures...the rest are using those lifebait lor....so, at least got something to do instead of just wait.....so 1 for life bait n 1 for lures. so now have to buy another 2 if got chance to go out to the sea.......now, budget fishing first....

i dun see any reason u kene blasted since we all have been a newbie once before. theoretically u're being oversensitive. What's best is that we invited you several times to join to fish with us so that you could feel and see for yourself rather than just reading in forums. So if I mentioned in a forum that a certain rod broke before while fighting the fish, would you buy it even tho it feels nice in your hands? For me I would since there no rod built not to break. I've taken this ideology from Frank Loomis. Again, go out fishing, join the sifus and u would understand that fishing is not learnt via internet. If u keep sticking to the internet to learn fishing, might as well u get a playstation or a wii set with that specialised electronic fishing rod.

Previously I'm just like you, considering to buy rods and reels, stuff that is cheap and nice or maybe a good investment. I've met several people in the past, some say you don't need expensive reel and rod to land a big fish while some say you need. After experiencing several setbacks in fishing, only to come to a conclusion that you need something reliable and reliability comes with a price. After having to jungle trek for an hour to reach a fishing spot, do you think u can go back to your car just to get another reel/rod?  or even worse when u're stuck in the middle of the sea with your broken equipments, what else could you do other than to look at ur friends with envy landing fish every now and then. Oh, well..I'm just telling based on my experience...  not that anybody cares...since that somebody would rather to listen to someone older and more experience uncles than a cha bor 

BTW, i was just pulling their leg... the serious matter I've already PM them. So dun emo la pls..

no la, wont think like tat.......sometimes really envied those ppl, can travel so far just to fish. if got then ok lor...if not then........but if pro liao, i think landing a fish is not a problem. maybe who knows.....fish for salmon or trout.....dunno how it taste like catch n eat (not cnr). bring jap soy sauce+wasabi together....
