Tip like that is normal... and normally, more fragile the rod then means it's more expensive worr... especially using IM7 material... MuaHaHaHa... edwardc, Don't quit so fast... i believe you didn't catch any fish yet rite? Judging from your setup, i think nobody showed you how to fish correctly... especially at Pulau Ketam area... thats why you didn't felt its POISON... MuaHaHaHa... |

I second bro ipod comments... get a decent setup better than buying cap ayam one... but i'm not saying that cap ayam cannot catch fish aaa...
 Santek is cap ayam one (last time bought RM 10.00 - 15Ib fiber rod) but i landed 3.5kg siakap pay pond with it before... MuaHaHaHa... I'm also not spinning kakis but if i was... i'll get same setup as suggested.. ugly stick + excia (prefer this one...) MuaHaHaHa... |

If i'm fishing at Bukit Merah, i'll go for arowana also... but very difficult to get (with higher fishing pressure day by day) especially using lure but some people managed to land it before so its not impossible... MuaHaHaHa...
BTW, please practice Catch & Release... whenever possible lar... |

Can't say much about spinning reel as i am caster. Using spinning reel make me feel awkward... using left handed set even worse for me... although last time almost being poison with FreamJ... MuaHaHaHa... |
