I have a Samsung SyncMaster 753DFX Flat CRT Monitor and I would like to know whether the PS3 is able to use this particular monitor for gameplay and movie purposes. If there is a cable or converter which is able to do so could you let me know what it is and where I might be able to find it..

i don think it work cos majority ppl go for LCD monitor/TV...

CRT monitor? If you could find a converter that converts to the CRT analog input from the red, white and yellow cables then MAYBE. But picture quality won't be as good as HDMI to DVI cable output, which what monitors with HDCP support can give.

I've seen DMC 4 played on the PS3 using a CRT TV. And my God it looks totally ugly. Maybe the guy didn't set the TV good enough, but I sure could tell you that its better to play with an LCD TV.

need the lcd tv ler bro...cause i just bought the ps3 and put in my 14 normal tv WOW it totall suCk aSs may the word is so small cant hardly see it the i try 29 inch tv quite the same result yucK then i sell it haha cause it destroy the mood ....so i bought a psp =) very nice i am happy now,,huhu

Kinda agree ah. I have been using my bothers psp up til last december when i decided to get my own. But now kinda regret. The money could have bought some games for my ps3... or even a better graphic card for my pc. Huhu... So far, since i bought it, only got 2 worthwhile games.... God Of War and FF7 Crisis Core....

But CRT for PC can support quite high res leh. Surely looks better than normal CRT TV right bros, unless I'm wrong la.

I think the quality should be quite good especially if it's coming out from a PC Monitor as a TV would likely be blurred and look not as detailed as a PC Monitor..
By the way, I found out that the PS3 is capable to connect to a PC Monitor using a TVBox.. Does anyone here know where to get the cheapest one that is compatible with the PS3 ?

i think its better to upgrade to a new 19"LCD monitor.

trust me VGA box sucks as I've tried it before, just get a new 19" LCD monitor as it's really cheap nowadays.
