hi, my laptop lcd (toshiba satellite) is faulty....the display hav patches and quite dim......

now its even worse...can on...need to set vga mode...and then when i change the setting to different resolutions...it will light for a while before losing both the laptop lcd and the vga connected externally...need to restart and do all over again...

what problem is it?? and how much to fix?? tq
