Hi to old Sharp & new frenz,

Got back from long trip, including some weeks in Japan. Torturing to see all the keitai candy in every neighbourhood department store, every street corner phone shop.....

Was kinda like trying to be celibate, could see, hear, hold, play but not take home... felt like better do something or explode!

So just a bit of satisfaction. Bought various plugs, cables, screen protectors at the 99 Yen shop, then the strong urges led me bargain hunting in Akihabara, so ended up spending. The five members of my new collection:

No way could I really afford that. Just to satisfy my fantasies I got "mokku" ones. No 906 tho

My 703SH and 802SH good enough for daily use. Envied J-frenz who were using theirs to watch TV, for purchases at subways, 7-11, restaurants, and even downloading discount coupons via barcode. They even have number portability already so use whatever brand they like.

(Now we can't even feel better that our petrol is cheaper... )

Yes 5 models totalled about ONE thousand, no -s....!

They were 200 yen each (RM$7 ?)

PS Voda-san: Eating in JPN not as expensive as everybody thinks. I put on weight from McD 100 yen specials - same price at Narita even.

My 802 never fully recovered despite the Bangkok CPR. Thanks again for recommending the 703 which is now my workhorse replacement.

Who cares what backward phone technology the Americans have, such as super-simple models for children and elderly with only TWO buttons! Just read their forums and see how jealous they are of our Asian (actually Japanese) toys. Some US teens learning JP language and spending a year abroad there just to experience full keitai service heaven, heheh.
