You need someone to recommend who has a business account in the same bank.

Try to find a bank near your place of business. You may often have to go there to bank in cheques and do other counter transactions.

Also check the bank fees and charges.

Open 2 bank accounts. One Maybank and another bank of your choice. Maybank is convenient for outstation clients to bank in cheques for you.

When you start a business, you need to open a company current account, not a saving account.
Your suppliers or clients normally prefer to issue cheques to your company not to your personal name.
At the same time, you can also open a joint saving account to transfer some funds from your current account to earn interest.

Company rubber stamp must consist of company full name & registration number.

Don't ever put address! If you put address, then you have to inform bank every time you shift office, that will be troublesome to go through all process for changing the official rubber stamp used for bank.

Nowaday, most people make it round, square, triangle shape, the old / traditional type will be as follows:

ABC TRADING & MARKETING SDN BHD.
(Company No.:123456-D)

Thanks for the tip!

I plan to open a Maybank account for under business (sole proprietary), how long does it take to approve?

My introducer is from another branch, does he need to be present or his signature on the form is good enough?

How much is the deposit payment?

Are all Maybank branches having the same policy when it comes to opening new business accounts?

Some bank need REFERRAL.
Because they will provided to us the cheque book.
They don't want problem later because of cheaque "tendang".
No money in the account buy issue the cheaque.

Many Thanks for the tips!

If it takes around 1 month to poceed, does it mean the deposit (2K or any amount) will be kept by them for 1 month?
We can't use the money until they approved of our new account?

But it doesn't make sense as the Referral is not a Guarantor.

If the Referral's account got bounced cheques, that doesn't mean my business/company must have bounced cheques.

If my Referral is for example, YTL, Maxis, or the CM of the state, or my Uncle who runs a Multi Million company, etc....it does not have any relation to my business.

Hi Winson,

How much is the deposit payment & How fast to get approval?

Unfortunately Alliance Bank has less branches than other banks.
Would that be a problem especially if clients want to bank in the payment to me?

Your #1) What kind of banking knowledge??
*
Hi, first deposit is Rm1000, is just for activate your account and you can withdraw the money anytime. Normally 3 working days can get approval.

Alliance Bank now at KL and selangor have 40+ branches, can I know where is your office or house?

Banking knowledge for example business loan, business platinum card or other related banking knowledge, we also will free consult to our customer. wink.gif

My personal experience is that Maybank will not ask you to bank in the 2k until they approve your account. So no issues there. smile.gif

LOL Thanks Bro.

I wonder what is the difference in opening an account if our referral is some VIP?

But in applying for loan, having the right guarantor will be a different case.

Are you opening an account also?

Maybank 2k, i just opened 2 month ago.

if you are using the eSSM, i think the partnername or something not in the document, unless you go and get it some where.

it is about 2-3 week time. where there need to use the SSM to check your company detail if genuine (or maybe because mine is using eSSM)

then they will call you back and give you an account to bank in the initial 2k. Then few days later you can go and collect cheque book.

Pls take note when apply cheque book, the "if need to printed the company name on the cheque book is not defaulted", you should tick this.

Apply a maybank2u account too for easier management.

It is easy when you know how to use it.

I register the account, then do a name search.
Next day get the result.
I paid the new company registration at 10 to 11 p.m, and i get my company certificate the next morning before 11 am.

I didn't go there to do physically because no time la. but other then the confusion, still impress with the speed.

1) Is it possible to open any company bank account online ?

2) If I am the sole proprietor , I just need to bring SSM, company chop and money, right? Do I need to bring I/C to prove I am the owner of the company ?

3) Can I just open Savings account ? Don't really need current account as my biz will be cash-based.
