- easier ati driver and compiz configuration
- finally can adjust the screen brightness
- wireless connects flawlessly (intel 3945)
the downside is, not very familiar with gnome interface/tools. Dislike the power management tool also, which do not provide any option to change the power option to powersave. need to manually install KDE's kpowersave. video playback on gstreamer is jerky, and my built-in memory card reader still cannot be used though lspci shows the correct driver, after plugging in memory card still no effect.
overall, i give this ubuntu 7/10, is better than previous ubuntu's (which can't even install on my lappie and old pc). Waiting for opensuse 11
