Fast & Furious 6 (2013)

Let me get one thing straight, the Fast and Furious is never my favorite franchise...

The first three were VERY disjointed, and have to add, the franchise had... evolved into something it was never meant to be, when the first was made...

My... concern about this movie franchise is that some car "enthusiasts" cannot tell the difference between movie and life, and I'll leave it at that.

This franchise is 12 years old the first being The Fast and the Furious (2001), and have to add Paul Walker compared to Vin Diesel, seems to be the one that is aging ungracefully...

Okay, credit where credit is due, the script writer for this actually took the trouble of going through all the previous script and tries to make head and tails out of all of them.

Fast and Furious 3 is still sticking out like a sore thumb though...

Car stunts are crazy.


Chicks are hot, which brings me back to my earlier statement about some car enthusiasts... Please remember these are movies and they have ALOT of stunt coordinator and planner to do what we see on screen...

PQ is good. AQ is fantastic.

Fast And Furious 7 (2015)

Who would have thunk!!

James Wan has a butt fetish!!

Again I apologise.

I had chosen to watch this movie at a bad time.

Been rather busy and was dead tired, I actually fell asleep during the Dubai scene!!

In a nut shell, the movie is just OVER THE TOP!!

Car-Fu??, Really??? (I never really got, the American's obsession with cars)

Is The Rock out of his mind??? (Probably with all the Steroid he is hop up on to look like THAT for the movie...)

Also Tony Jaa was here, why??? His role is SO pointless??? Like Jet Li in the Expendables... So sad...

Also there seems to be a shift in Vin Diesel, and I think the shift happened after the passing of Paul Walker...

The shift seem to translate to Dominic seeking out death!!

I really cannot remember if I had watched any of the Fast and Furious at the cinema... Maybe the very first...

It was actually tough for me to watch this, know what had happened to Paul Walker.

The last scene when Dominic and O'Brien said good bye... Oh man...

R.I.P Mr Paul Walker.

Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

Okay, please do note that after the bad after taste call Lion King, I actually stayed away from the cinemas, until yesterday, and I had chosen to watch this movie, because I know for a fact, that I do not have to think, I just had to go with the flow.

And I found myself... entertained...

So, paint me surprise?

I am neither a die hard fan Dwayne Johnson nor Jason Statham.

I am just not.

Hence my early statement of going with the flow.

So, how it the movie, really?

Well, Vanessa Kirby is kinda growing on me.

She started the movie off, and you kinda view the movie from her point of view (not always, but you do revisit her P.O.V.)

So, in short this is an "odd couple" (Dwayne and Jason) movie with Vanessa Kirby thrown in...

Am I making sense.

The first two acts of this movie actually good.

The third act... Let me put it this way, at the beginning of the movie Vanessa Kirby is all kinds of, I am a strong, tough and independent woman. Hear me roar!!! Third act, not so much. And oh you have the helicopter scene as well... Sigh

If they had tweaked the third act a bit, this movie could have been fantastic.

What it is, a entertainment movie a viewer enjoys whilst they are in the cinema, and will not think much of, after the experience.

Having said that, at least I wasn't queasy like I was after the Lion King.

I don't think I was even in their mindset when they made this movie.

I am way WAY outside of their demography...

I am too afraid to say anything more about this movie, seeing how the franchise has rabid fans....
