Hi there. I'm looking some advice about beauty care. I'm just graduate from SPM.

1. What should I need to do 1st if I want to work as beauty care?
2. Study and get certification 1st or work as beauty trainee to gain experience only study to get a certification?
3. Which academy is the best and what course should I take?

I'm a lazy person who don't like to study. I'm planning to study Diploma in Business Administration but now I feel like wan to study about beauty care.

Am I decide the wrong way? Can anyone help me? rclxub.gif

i got my spm results which is pretty good. but, for some reason i dun like studying. well, im those type of ppl that do last min work, i studied last min for my SPM sleep.gif

and now im taking classes for, u know nails? learn bout nails and all. im interested at make up and facial too. tongue.gif
and if u think u really wanna take the beauty care, den ur not wrong. well, thats my personal opinion la.

and now i take up classes at the nails academy. its at bukit bintang kl. and yesterday is my first class. its awesome! im so interested at it XD
so i think u should take classes for the beauty and slowly work for them, and gain experience. im not sure wat academy is the best tho. and wat do u mean by what course u should take? ur taking beauty right, u interested at make up facial more? my mum said once u take make up, u can slowly take facial too. either one of it start first. biggrin.gif

good luck. smile.gif

IMO its better to get certification first then you could work in an academy as a trainee to gain experience. i think there's also some courses which require you to do some practicals before awarding the cert. my mom opens a hair salon and build up her skills through experience. a cousin of mine is a beauty specialist and she's got a wall of certs. both both of them are doing well so in the end its down to having the better technique and the confidence of your customers. certification does help you to command a better salary/high payment if you're going to open your own salon. but first, it's important to know which aspects of beauty care you're more interested in eg facial, hair, cosmetics, nail, body slimming, massage etc etc... hmm.gif

my friend just finish her beautician course... i think if you are serious in this line, don waste your time study others... u can enroll the course and study for about half year then you search for that kind of job for experience....

there's a lot of beauty care course to choose but think carefully which type of beauty care that u wanna learn... i myself is currently learning nail art and a friend of mine learn professional make up ... just figure out which one suitable for u

ya, if ur serious bout the beauty 1, only concentrate that, dun waste time and money.

btw, i take my course at jjnail at bukit bintang. u know the kimarie hair academy also there de? there lor.
basically got 2 type, 1 is basic, 1 is basic + advanced.

basic is rm3980, another 1 is about 6800, i take the basic 1.

because advanced 1 is for, u learn already can open shop become boss d.
and i take basic because i wanna learn basic, and after i know d, i work part time at the jj nail at pyramid, so i can gain experience, they only hire back own students de. i personally think the basic is better because i can gain more experience ma. how long ah? they write there teach u 120 hours for basic, but actually they teach u until u know de. nod.gif

well, mine is ah, i take the course, and after that they feel i ok d, they give me test and got cert also de.

devilelle: hey! where u learn! tongue.gif i just started yesterday. and all i did is paint paint paint the nails. 4 hours just paint nails. i tot its bored at first but after yesterday i think its fun! and im getting more interested at it. heheh
