@Syd G,
Actually, I think the bank makes a certain percentage of commission; the winner is probably still the insurance co ? Anyhow, I somehow think i'd been 'delisted' cause for the so many years they been trying, I just decline @kapitan, If it's a free upgrade, take onli lah unless U want to keep that existing card. Like me, I wanted to keep my existing Citibank Clear Card hence decline every other upgrade they offer Except this card is no longer giving me as much benefits as it used to! *geram* This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jun 26 2008, 01:06 PM |

I can never understand these 'Kutu' cycles
@Syd G, U could alwiz pay up at the end of the month when Ur bill comes so U don't need to pay interest |

@Syd G,
If ur a low income earner then U should spend according to what U can afford. Y go buy a RM200 dress when U can't afford it?! Y spend RM200k on a wedding when u can only afford RM20k? As "decent" as it is, I still think it shouldn't be encouraged. |

@Syd G,
Just cause we aren't in as bad a situation as our US counterparts doesn't mean we should be following their footsteps. The thing about people is that we just don't know how to learn from other people's mistake ! If siggie doesn't match then the cheque will get bounced. It'll be consistent when U start signing @jeff_ckf, I haf friends like that too and frankly I have more respect for these people than those with credits cards + lots of debts |

@ppfoong,
This has oredi been discussed @ Credit Card Thread. If U read their T&Cs, this card is onli applicable to NEW applicants; ie. existing Citibank credit cardholders aren't allowed to take advantage of this promotion. |

@cody99,
I ain't sure except I don't think U'll need to wait a year before U can apply. But what's the point of cancelling ur current card just cause U want this card? Are the benefits that good? |

@flamer,
I issue a cheque and send it through Pos Msia to Citibank; thus far no problems and I've been doing that since Year 2000. @vin_ann, I'm surprised my Citibank statement states 18%; it should read 15% - thought it was perhaps because it's the first month they're implementing it hence interest rates are same for all. Do U use Citibank? Can someone check what the interest rate is as stated on the Statement? |

@vin_ann,
I suppose Citibank starts it from scratch? I should go check it out and perhaps call the CS for more information - i thought it should reflect 15% *grins* @Syd G, The Choice card is not worth it cause if U don't use the card at least twice a month U'll be charge a monthly fee. |

@Syd G,
These doesn't seem to be v difficult choices to make. What about the UOB ONE (Platinum) card? I hear it's a cash rebate card too. |

@vin_ann,
Important thing is U pay up the entire sum, right?! I still want to know Y Citibank started it off @ 18% and not 15% since the last 6 months I been prompt and have paid in full. |

@jeff_ckf,
It's not about consumer rights, it's not about whether i'm going to be "enjoying" such benefits. It's all about principles. I'm going to go call them when I get back to the office after this morning's meeting before my afternoon meet At least I get to TRY out their Platinum Priority line |

@jeff_ckf,
Me?! Show off?! I'm not the one who plastered 4 Platinum cards @vin_ann, Citibank tells me it's because I made a late payment in the month of Jan. I am arguing with them to tell them it's not possible and told them to check. How on earth could I have made a late payment and not know about it ! *argh* |

@ericpires,
That question has been posed too many times. There is NO best credit card; it's always a matter of preference and objective. |

@vin_ann,
Yeah I don't remember any late payment and if I did, I definitely wasn't aware till NOW!!! Anyhow, I told Citibank to check it out. Doubt they can do anything but well, it's not going to affect me I guess since I make all payment in time |

@jeff_ckf,
Citibank is suppose to get an Officer to revert back to me; it would take them 2 working days [I did ask Y it would take 2 working days to answer something they can answer on the spot and all i got was an apologetic sorry] so I guess we'll just haf to wait and see what they say. @TeraPox, Y? U suddenli terasa?! @David83, MBB Amex Credit Card has a 2 year annual waiver now whilst the MBB Amex Charge card gets 1 year annual waiver. It is not applicable to the Platinum category. |
