I've no idea Y HSBC rejected ur application. Also, Citibank CS are different from Citibank-related-tele-marketers so if those people are rude, it's got nothing to do with Citibank CS.

For those who want to know minimum requirements, go check it out on the banks' website - it's all there. It's difficult for us to let u know what the minimum is because different cards have different criterias!

Yeah those telemarketers are prolly onli given ur name & contact number; nothing else related to ur account so can't quite blame them but I do agree with U. I used to get a lot of calls from Citibank and I would speak with them because they tell me they're calling from Citibank so I walk out of the meeting and hear them out only to know they're calling me with regards to some other product *sigh*

And if he doesn't have RM2k then don't go about applying for one until he meets the minimum requirement - otherwise he's going to start collecting debts. CC isn't supposed to be something glamourous where U flash around for ur friends to see that U haf one

I don't know how to provide guidelines to U. If U don't meet the min of the most min of their requirements, then U just won't get a CC. Y would U need a CC if U onli have that kind of $ to spend; like I said it's not meant for u to flash around

Also, even if U do get a CC, U won't be getting a lot of CL, so what's this thing about instalment payment? If U want to buy stuff and pay by instalment, U better think twice if U can afford it, seriously! A lot of young ciku's like U fall into the trap of the 'Credit Card Trap'.

Like I said, if U cannot meet the minimum criteria/requirement, U just cannot meet it. There's no way to get one; perhaps purchase from Courts Mammoth?! *grins* Or, wait till U meet the minimum requirement. Ur next option is to purchase the thing in cash

All the hassle and trouble save. Everyone says they'll have the $ to pay for those purchases when we advise them against it but well.. they usually get deeper and deeper in debt.

Oh.. U do haf another option - get ur folks to supp U a card

U don't need to entertain them. When U know they're selling products, just tell them U aren't interested - that's what I do all the time and well I guess they get the idea; I haven't gotten a call for quite a while now
