@vin_ann,
And that's what U say now *grins* When I applied for my 1st credit card, I told Citibank not to give me too much CL - RM3k was more than sufficient. I ended with RM5k which I thought was really too much. A couple of years down, I felt RM5k insufficient except Citibank never approved my applications for an increase. |

@vin_ann,
Like I said, it's not something U'll hit now but RM4k is probably not sufficient in the next 5-6 years or so HSBC's latest CL to me is RM40k - now that is a lot more than I can deal with so I doubt I'll need to get an increase for a long time with HSBC. @yks8845, I think it's oK to share the joy of new gadgets with ur gf.. And if she lives with U, takkan she's not going to know what U purchased? Where would U store those new toys of urs? |

@vin_ann,
If CC is making U spend more, then start destroying them cause U don't want to end up in debt. The rule of thumb is to purchase and buy only when U can afford it. This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jun 24 2008, 01:09 PM |

@vin_ann,
We should always be looking to increase our income @yks8845, I do not need unlimited CL - it's not "safe". I am also an existing UOB Platinum cardholder and I believe existing cardholders will be converted to this UOB Preferred Platinum plan in time to come. @jiaxun,
If I'm not mistaken, petrol stations earn a total of 3% commission from sales. If 1% is given to Credit Card operators, they're left with 2%. |

@TeraPox,
There must be a reason for U to be wanting to pay that RM800?! [perhaps because that Longine watch costs more?!] Also, Shangri-la's The Prestige membership would oredi cost U RM499 Just out of curiousity, Y would U be willing to pay the annual fees for an Amex when U wouldn't pay for the rest?! @TeraPox,
U don't need to go 8x a year. U just haf to play 36 holes p/day and that'll be good enough Also, the 10X reward points are applicable onli at their partner outlets and unless U spend a lot of $ there [wherever that is], I doubt it's gonna be that beneficial. Anyhow, it's ur call Btw, do U haf a local golf membership? And where do U usually play? What's ur handicap? This post has been edited by tinkerbel: Jun 24 2008, 03:31 PM |

@TeraPox,
Ah well.. It sure seems as if U've got it figured out If U don't haf a valid golf handicap, I doubt U'll be able to get access to the courses in SG too? |

@TeraPox,
I don't know which are the few selected merchants who offers 10X reward points but if U do intend to get a new Mac I guess U would be utilising one oredi. I also don't use the Shangri-la benefits much [hence I haven't joined their membership] so that's not really an advantage for me. As to golf privileges, I oredi haf access to Saujana, KLGCC, Rahman Putra, Awana and I don't go to SG that often. Also, I don't play golf ! *grins* hEHehehHEhe.... If I could get the annual fees waived, I perhaps might consider otherwise, nah. Also, MBB didn't seem v interested in wanting my business when I walked into the bank a couple of weeks ago so I oredi gave up hope on this Amex Plat card. Then again, I'm not U!
