@*devilelle*,
At least U had a reason; most of us just gets a letter of rejection with no explanation whatsoever. Am thinking of applying for the MBB credit card cause their TreatPoint Rewards look good except I'm a bit too lazy to go make an online application! *grins*

@*devilelle*,
Citibank never revealed the information.

@hye,
You're absolutely right and well, it was a total waste of time sending that letter to Citibank. All they did was get an officer to call me for me to vent my frustrations out on and gave me a verbal apology. They didn't even bother to offer me an additional FREE waiver for the year or perhaps 500 reward points into my account.

@jep,
Am surprised Citibank tells U that U need to swipe more than 2x a month to get annual fees waived cause they told me it's not possible to tell me as that's in the future and no one can tell the future [what absurdity!]

I can't say I've had much problems with my Citibank Credit Card [it did fail me once when I was in Australia but that was probably in Y2003]. I did have some drama with them last couple of weeks but ah well, other than that it's quite alright.

Having said that, I'm looking at moving onto MBB except I don't have an existing MBB credit card and am a little too lazy to get it applied online.

@jep,
Citibank charges 1% Administrative Fees for all overseas transactions so if U do intend to use ur credit card when ur abroad, U might want to reconsider Citibank.

I spend on average RM4k p/month on my Citibank Credit Cards and find it ridiculous for them not to offer me the waiver when they're offering it to others *hmph*

The Star dots on Citibank is nothing; just a reference for 'batch' reference for Citibank - or at least that's what someone once told me. It doesn't matter whether U have 1, 2 or 3 stars.

@David83,
It has nothing to do with credit rating or nothing to do with status. Also, the more stars U have on LYN just means U spam lots; doesn't necessary co-relates to quality tongue.gif

I checked out Citibank's cash rebate; doesn't seem v enticing to me esp since I ain't the kind who has balance carried forward. Might as well stick with the point rebate system *shrugs*

@jchong,
Citibank gave me pretty good rates for HK too [and I didn't even know about the 1% Admin surcharge then]. Er.. Citibank's cash back is also on a tiered basis. At the highest tier for the Cash Back Gold Credit Card is 3.88% but that's only for those who have a carry forward balance of >RM10k.

I don't see how this benefits much cause in order to get some $, we're actually spending more tongue.gif

@jchong,
It's just like the Citibank Shell card - in order for U to get rebates off the card, U gonna need to owe the bank some $ smile.gif

@tay,
If ur interested to know, U should get onto their websites and get the information on ur own instead of relying on others for the information.

@zenquix,
AhhH.. so which means it should be d more U spend, the more cash rebate they give u back smile.gif

I'm thinking of getting the MBB Amex but don't wish to have to send them all those documents once again. Anyone knows a short cut?

@zenquix,
And how do I go about doing it? I've not seen MBB roadshows - then again, I rarely go out to malls.

Also, what's 2% rebate when fuel prices have just gone up 40%? wink.gif

I didn't visit the last PC Fair. Ah well, I suppose I shan't go out looking for it - if I stumble upon it onli apply lah otherwise forget about it.. will just either use existing UOB or HSBC card.

I oredi collected enough points to redeem that 187k Samsonite bag !! *WooOHoOooOo* biggrin.gif

@hye,
I might drop in if I'm at MV but I am rarely there and with the recent fuel increase, it's not going to take long before we start seeing the effects of it smile.gif

@jchong,
I saw the picture but it doesn't look as 'nice' as I thought it might be - wanna go see the real thing before I put in the redemption *grins* Otherwise I'll just err find something else to redeem ! *grins* And I'm not going to be using the bag; the folks are the one benefiting from it. Speaking of which, it's Father's Day this Sun?

Anyhow, like I said maybe just forget about the MBB Amex Credit Card - want to also make sure I can pay ALL utility bills on it otherwise I'll just end up sticking with Citibank *I can't believe I'm saying this*

@scoobie27,
I don't like hanging out banks *grins* but if it does come to the point where I need a MBB CC I guess I'll haf no choice but to walk in to the bank to get it done.

@vin_ann,

I'm not the least bit interested in applying for this ONE Platinum card. Btw, for those with the card, do U even get other 'Platinum' benefits such as travel insurance up to RM1m/2m, etc etc?
