if u have the 6x9 i strongly suggest removing them if u wanna install a sub. they somehow kill the bass form the sub making it either muddy like hell or just non-existent... ive seen and heard of both cases.

as for ckmoy007's suggestion, yeah thats the easiest and mebbe cheapest way to do it. but u have to ensure the amp is getting enough power, otherwise itll cut off during hard bass sections (like my old setup) or from overheating (like my colleague's current setup) although my colleague sort of solved it by putting 8x80mm fans on the amp laugh.gif

as for BM woofer... i used BM once. didnt even last a month pecah already. and i didnt really like the sound. id recommend American Autocraft, slightly more expensive but sounds better and last longer too (although mine burned due to amp mismatching).

put 2-way component speaker at the front and can leave the back empty (aka only the woofer)

Try Blaupunkt THA 480 ( 80W rms x 4 ), or some forumer is selling some soundstream or alpine amps oso can... basically u juz need around 50W - 75W rms per channel. Try doing some research and search around for ur own budget.

If your car is a Wira, than you'll need a pair of 12" for it to 'happen' with front 6"/tweeter component incl a good 'cetak-rompak' 75W X 4 transistor-amp from a old-branded design. $1,000 budget should be enough. biggrin.gif sweat.gif

for sub get monoblock.
ur spkr get component spkr + 4channel amp.
tune up to ur spec.

RM1.5k-RM2k

or
u can use a 4 channel.
2 channel for spkr
bridge 2 channel for sub.
but the sub might not be able to power up during hi-bass.
when you on loud that
time, the bass and sound will change. This is because the power is
separated balance
