Is there any websites showing the performance of Malaysia mutual funds by year to year percentage return?

An example link like this showing the mutual funds year by year performance in HK http://www.fundexpress.hsbc.com.hk/HSBCSit...x?FundName=fund

Just spend RM5 to purchase a copy of the Edge and you have access over all the unit trust products in Malaysia and their overall performances, similar to what shown on the website you shared.

Anyone familiar with this 2 funds:

1) http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/fundi...number=MYAMDNMB

2) http://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/fundi...number=MYRHBGLT

I saw the performance quite good for last few years, they're bond funds with 0%-0.75% initial charge.

1. Good performing bond funds which invest in Medium Term BBB-AAA Corporate Bonds - but is is more risky than A-AAA bond funds. Also there is a 1% exit fee you must note.  wink.gif

2. Another mixed bond/equity/cash fund.. but RHB's bond fund performance is not too good over the longer term....

Are you mentioned this Other Significant Fees Redemption fee: Up to 1% of the NAV per unit. (Borne by Investor) ?

1. Yes do becareful, there's 1% redemption charge. crazily high. I did thorough researches n decide not to go in. imagine 1% of 100K is killing enof. Thus, u may wan to consider RHB Islamic Bond, which i went for it. Consistent returns of 3years, and lipper 5 rating. 1% redemption charge if redeemed by 1st year, no charge thereafter. The 'only' 2 good bonds from RHB are islamic and golden life today. I went for RHB islamic bond because the golden life past trend seem to have higher deviation. U may consider ambond too, not too bad.

In short, only 4 'good' bond funds from FSM to consider, RHB islamic, golden life, ambond, ambond dynamic. Pity tho, they do not hav KAF bond

2. I'm thinking to invest in PB fix income and PBIBF  smile.gif

If you said 1% redemption fee high, i saw public mutual fund higher, although without exit fee but initial fee already 3% for bond fund.

Why the total fund size need a limit? It can't be over 1bil?

I think third party broker won't deal with public mutual funds.

Looks like Philip Capital offer competitive sales charge as FSM.

For me, I not really prefer DCA, if I got 5k, I'll separate 5 times, each time 1k so that I can choose my flexible market price.

I heard my friend who working in CIMB securities department, she said most of malaysia mutual funds not involve in short selling like futures and options. But I found some mutual funds in SG & HK, they have applied the futures trading in the funds. this is one of the example shown in attachment.

For this example, you can see that the allocation for futures is 73%, ETF 14% and equity just 11%. This mean that if facing economy crisis, this fund still got a way to escape it by trading with futures but if 90% is equity, most likely this fund will go downtrend locking with the crisis.

Thanks RSTusa. That's what i'm planning to do - Asset Allocate a xx% for "IF kaka happens, this automatically...", thus i can focus on other stuff ;P

But always remember futures trading is with higher risk, maybe economy running good, but this futures fund is lossing and maybe not as good as equity performance but this all depends on the fund manager or trader's strategy.
