I am not a pilot, but i am an aspiring pilot, i know alot about piloting, so i hope my answer will be able to help you..

It seems that you have "lazy eyes", right? ur Right power 400, Left 50.. it would be better for you to enquire DCA approved hospitals / clinics personally, after all, a first class medical cert is what u need in the end to be a commercial airline pilot.. It doesn't matter how bad your eyesight is , or how high ur power is, as long as it's 6/60 ( u can only look at things that are 6 meter away from u when others can look at the same things at 60 meters away )

You plan to self pay? or to join airlines' cadet pilot programmes?
I would personally suggest cadet pilot programme, as you don't have to worry about ur financial problem, as it is paid by the airlines.. After you have completed ur training, then u are automaticially bonded with them ( which mean a job is automatically secured ), and they will deduct the training fees slowly from ur salary...

If you want to choose the "self-pay route", it is very very expensive... To get a ATPL ( Airline transport pilot license ), you wil need around RM 250k...
Personally, i would suggest MFA ( malaysia flying academy ), as you can find most Air Asia and Malaysia Airlines cadet pilots traning there..

I hope my answers help.. feel free to ask me anything about piloting, coz i've done alot alot alot of researches about it.. smile.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

as long as ur eyesight can be corrected to 6/6, u can surely b an airline pilot..

regardless of my freaking high short sightedness and astigmatism? O_O

i am about 700 degrees short sighted and 300 degrees astigmatism

but i can see perfectly clear and normal with optical aids..

how about the requirements saying at least 6/60 in MAS and SIA website??
