Unlike Ghosts, The Slip is a much better representation of Trent's "newer" sound and the direction he's going. Nothing is absolutely loud like the days of The Fragile, PHM or Downward Spiral, and Slip seems to take on a more melodic, ambient, and sometimes discotheque-friendly soundspaces.

In other words, Trent Reznor might has no moar emo. Download (very fast) and listen for yourself.

Well, I do like Slip more than Year Zero (but not more than the remix for now)


Echoplex and Lights In The Sky are very strong stuff.
