Honestly I can tell you the standards in UM are quite bad la. 1st hand knowledge here, am taking Mech in UM 
. Its nothing like what one would expect from the so called best uni in Malaysia. But then again, probably the advantages are that UM is in a good location, heart of KL, as opposed to heart of Perak(UTP) and heart of Johor(UTM), no offence to either of those 2 places
