Isn't all newer ipods runs 5v 1Amp? I used Hewlett Packard PDA charger to charge both my ipod nano & iphone, since it has the same specification with the regular ipod charger.

Since it's compatible with iPod classic, plugging in the iPhone shouldn't be a problem.
