Faizal Tahir was a contestant in the reality television show, One in a Million. He was a former member of a nasyid team and also a host. His debut solo album amptly title AKU.MUZIK.KAMU was released on 22nd November 2007 under his record label Monkey Bone.

On 13 January 2008, Faizal courted controversy by removing his shirts to his bare chest and also his belt "live" on television during 8TV's fourth anniversay concert. Thus, 8TV's top management took stern action by giving him strict warnings and requiring him to be involved in charity work for six months. Besides this, two days after the incident, 8TV hald a press conference for him to apologize to all who were offended by his stunt.[1] As a result, on 19 January, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) stated that it would ban him from appearing on television for three months, and also bar 8TV from airing live or tape-delayed entertainment programmes throughout the same period, effective 15 January.[2] The ban ruined his chance to perform two songs in Anugerah Juara Lagu organized by TV3.

Faizal tahir, while some say he's a good perfomer, he's vocal is definitely not the best. I think theres a lot of male artists that can pawned him vocally (Not including Mawi). Compare him with 80's n 90's artists such as Amy, Hattan, Rahim Maarof, Nash, Awie, Jamal, Aris Ariwatan, Yantzen...etc...etc..

Kinda surprise me he won best vocal..

i started to like his music when i was watching OIAM when he was singing Smallville's tv series theme. That time, i was surprised, he's not like other realty show dude.. he can sing well.. he want to somebody, as an he wants to be a entertainer like arwah sudirman but in a different way.. different attitude.

Not surprising...even Mawi won best vocalist once even though he sang like sh*t the previous nite at a jom heboh concert. Hazami should have won that year.

One thing abt mawi thou...his songs are very catchy and tops...I think because got money (or sponsor?) to get the best composers and song writers for him.

One of my fav singer/entertainer currently..He is the full package and i can see him go distance..He's married and he wont garner unnecessary attention aka scandal..well hopefully la..

He's a great performer and certainly host well too..His singing is quite good actually in a sense that he sing rock and fast-paced song well..Dun la compare him with the likes of Hazami and my all time fav Anuar Zain..Different style different personality..
