I sent my car to Toyota Subang Jaya for my first service (1000KM). The car is only less than 3 weeks old.
When I got my car around 5.30pm, I was too tired to notice anything until I almost reaching home. I notice a vertical scratch... or rather a 'deep gash' on my interior of the the windscreen. Looks like somebody damaged my EcoTint tint film.
The next day was a public holiday, so I did not make any complaint to them.
One more day later, while driving under hot sun, I notice another scratch!!!! This time it's on the meter panel. WTF......
When I went to the service centre, 2 of the service advisors came and checked on it. Then they talked to their superior in the discussion room.
Guess what's the result?
First of all, they asked for my service booklet. They say if we tinted the car from Toyota, they can just fix it there. When they found out I fixed the tint film outside, they changed their mind. This is the reason they gave to me: "I do not think the staff damaged it. Because you see, when they wipe, they wipe from left to right. Not up to down motion. But your scratch on the tint is vertical, so I do not know how it comes from..." What a lame excuse.
I asked how sure are they regarding this matter, they say very sure. Fine.....
So I asked about the meter panel. They say :"Oh, it's a horizontal.. So maybe it's our staff la..... Don't worry, we'll repair for you under defects item claim.."
Still not satisfied with their answer about the tint film, I argued with them for almost 15 minutes. They keep saying that I did not tell them about the problem when I receive the car..... Ok, my fault then.
So in the end, I ask them to give me a memo saying that they INSIST and VERY SURE that the cleaning staffs DID NOT clean the car using VERTICAL motion but intead of HORIZONTAL motion. They was shocked by my request and like walking around, duno what they are finding or looking. In the end, they just say that they do not have a system to write a memo, so please give them a call should anything arises. WTF...
I was tired and frustrated with their attitude, so I left the service centre. I'll make a call to the sales manager for further enquiry.
So guys, next time when u get your car, leave nothing unchecked!
Becareful of Toyota Service Centre, Subang Jaya, check your car after services......
