my 6400 Dell battery.. after 1 year using it(using it as in not plugged in when using wall socket 95% of the time) suddenly just died, cannot charge smile.gif guess its a common problem

btw, what are the best drivers for the 6400's mobility x1400? currently using an old version of omegadrivers

Hey guys.. I'm just wondering, are you guys able to read SDHC using your Inspiron 6400's card reader? SDHC as in SD cards of 4GB and above..

My system is the first generation core duo Inspiron, running T2300 Intel Core Duo processor.. Apparently the reader will not read cards of 4GB and above.. even when i'm using Windows 7.. any suggestions on how to fix this? or this cannot be fixed? =S

DELL did call for returning all batteries of previous model BUT i don't know for which model
IF i'm not mistaken, the model after 6400.
I never change the drivers, used the original 1 from the beginning
You might try other international forum OR if you got lot of times, try digging old thread of 6400

I wonder if my sys. (C2D T7200, 667MHz FSB) can support 800MHz RAMs & gaming RAMs, knowing that the RAM would definitely run on 667MHz clock speed. Since the price of 800MHz RAMs are about the same, if not cheaper than 667MHz RAMs, I hope I would not regret getting the 800MHz ones.

Any 6400 users tried this before?

Also considering dual-channelling 2 x 1GB.

Mine the right side hinge shell(casing) broke after 1 year, notebook still 100% working, no problem with screen just see the plastic not fitted properly.

This laptop still kicking after so many years, 5+ i think. Means cannot get approval to upgrade...
