QUOTE(ur4m3shi @ Apr 30 2010, 03:21 AM) personally i think the movie is enjoyable ... dont see 2 scenes which in the trailer ... 1 is where potts kissing the iron man helmet and the other one is where stark demonstrating to scarlett/black widow how to do a repulse/repulser blast ... and to wait until the credit finish rolling is so blehh ... but worth it ... kissing scene in a malaysian public cinema? i guess censorship wont miss this high profile movie. likely to be only in DVD release. (probably snip that of Scarlett/B widow close up with tony.) |

ok, seems like, RDJ aka tony was in this suit before the massive destruction of his home. Or someone else??
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « potts is safe! » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « or is guy pearce the 'selected' american chap in the iron man suit? where does he fall in IR3 or maybe he is the (main) Villain? apart from Ben Kingsley ?? Movie Synopsis QUOTE Marvel's "Iron Man 3" pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? happy viewing guys & gals.
it's a fun watch. Watching both IMAX 3D & then just 2D is just indescribable. I don't want to compare it with past IM movies or even other superheros movies. Heck i think i won't even classify this "super hero". If never a shadow of a doubt that RDJr portrayal as brash but brilliant industrialist, genius billionaire, playboy, philanthropist Tony Stark. Robert Downey Jr certainly makes Iron Man movie enjoyable. His extrovert antics, persona, just vibrates positivity. RDJr certainly talks fast, so much so i think many may not catch some of the humour. His character doesn't broad, sulk, maybe suffers a bit of anxiety attacks. It suppose to have taken place after 'New York'. and talk about the villain in the movie, Ben Kingsley acting as the Mandarin. wow, just wow Guy Pearce, Don 'Col James Rhodes' cheadle, Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts I certainly did enjoy more of the arch villain on the second watch. Maybe I was distracted with so much details on IMAX. it overwhelms you. The destruction of Mr Starks home on IMAX alone is super Will he RDJr return as Tony Stark in the future? Yup watch the end credits, answer may be there. It's inspiring to watch Downey Jr. Part of the premise when you look back if you let down the very people who look up to you may be a big, big mistake. apart from the story, the many armours (war machine/iron patriot etc) of Iron Men certainly wet the appetite for fans of this series. And while having said so, we are reminded by Mr Stark performance/ persona "It's the man that maketh the suit not the suit that makes the man" It hits home in so many levels that saying. |

QUOTE(damnself @ Apr 26 2013, 06:32 PM) Mandarin in the film are so pathetic. Maybe because they could not convey Mandarin in the comics as he seems unstoppable. But yeah, I don't very much like the film though as I was hoping for the unstoppable Mandarin.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(masterelr @ Apr 27 2013, 01:45 AM) I personally like this better than the previous two movies. The first one had a good story (great introduction to Iron Man) but too few action scenes (or maybe because I've already seen all of them in the trailer and was expecting more). The second one had more action but story was kinda meh. This one nailed it with a (pretty) good story and some awesome action scenes. The best thing is that there are some surprises, twists, and other stuffs that you don't see in the trailer unlike the previous two where you've seen everything after you watch the trailer. action was so thick and fast it didnt really register. i wasnt too engrossed or obsessed if it had things that seemed 'poking' out from the screen. I watched this in IMAX 3D and this is yet another movie where the 3D is a let down. At the end I thought that I was watching 2D because there were hardly any effects that stood out. though i must say IMAX was brilliant in definition (and sound clarity) at the at TGV 1 utama . Some may even missed a johnny depp poster in background 2D IM3 This post has been edited by koolspyda: Apr 27 2013, 03:49 PM |

For those who still are adamant about the mandarin...
QUOTE Choosing a villain was difficult, because Favreau felt Iron Man's archnemesis, the Mandarin, would not feel realistic, especially after Mark Millar gave his opinion on the script. He felt only in a sequel, with an altered tone, would the fantasy of the Mandarin's rings be appropriate. The decision to push him into the background is comparable to Sauron in The Lord of the Rings, or Palpatine in Star Wars. Favreau also wanted Iron Man to face a giant enemy. The switch from Mandarin to Obadiah Stane was done after Bridges was cast. Stane had originally been intended to become a villain in the sequel Iron man wiki |
