watched it on Friday... one word : sucks this film is just horrible.. action ain't engaging, the final boss is way too easy and simple, the flow of the film is damn boring, not to mention the early part is so messy and noisy... yes very very noisy, stupid noisy conversation... and also full of clowns(Hammers, Pepper, the villain and Tony, yes, Ironman himself in this movie is a clown) all in all, this is an annoying, noisy, rubbish piece of crap movie... i had been anticipating this movie, can't believe wat i saw on screen... a group of girls actually walked out of the cinema half way, probably due to the overly done annoying conversation through out the whole movie... it's been awhile since i last felt like falling asleep in the cinema... totally unbeliveable on such a big blockbuster movie i probably shouldn't compare this, but still Ip Man 2 > Iron Man 2 by 1000%

http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/05/07/jon-f...man-3-mandarin/QUOTE Jon Favreau Wants The Mandarin For 'Iron Man 3' With "Iron Man 2" hitting theaters today, the Marvel movie universe is on everyone's minds lately — and we're not alone in wondering what the new film could mean for those that follow it.
How will the events of "Iron Man 2" affect "Thor," "Captain America" and "Avengers"? Heck, how will they affect "Iron Man 3"?
MTV News asked that very question of director Jon Favreau, who shared some thoughts on the franchise's future and said he still plans to get Iron Man's arch-enemy, The Mandarin, into the picture for the third installment.
"I would like 'Iron Man 3' to pay it off, but there's so much I don't understand yet about what the world is going to be like then," said Favreau. "You've got 'Thor,' 'Captain America,' 'Avengers' all happening with different directors before 'Iron Man 3' — and that's all going to affect 'Iron Man 3.'"
"What's going to have happened by then?" he asked. "With 'Thor,' you're going to have all this supernatural stuff happening and magic and there's a lot of stuff going on in the world. If it's going to match the comic books, it's going to be incredibly complex for film."
As for Iron Man's ten-ringed nemesis The Mandarin, Favreau said the villain is still very much in play for the third film — but bringing him to the screen isn't without its issues.
"You have to do The Mandarin," he said. "The problem with The Mandarin is, the way it's depicted in the comic books, you don't want to see that. He also has 10 magical rings, and it just doesn't feel right for our thing, so it's either tech-based or the rings are not really rings."
"But maybe with 'Thor' and all those others you'll introduce magic to that world and it won't seem so out of place," he said. Would you like to see Mandarin in the "Iron Man" movies?

QUOTE(p4n6 @ May 9 2010, 12:02 AM) One thing I don't quite get it ... why is it so easy for Rhody to operate Stark's lab to get the suit, operate it and learn how to fly with it as if he had gone through several training with it? Rhodey was able to operate the suit because Stark allowed it. The whole drunken party thing was staged so that he can force Rhodey to take the suit. From the very beginning of the movie, he thought he was going to die, so he was preparing to give away all his key assets: Stark Corp to Pepper and Iron Man to Rhodey.

Not enough action and fighting, but its ok cuz alot of funny scenes to make up to that..... Iron Man 2 is nearest thing to the Avenger movie, got Black Widow, Nick Fury, Captain America's 'shield' and so many more references

Watched the digital 2D screening yesterday. Aside from the sharper image, the amount of details that you can actually see is just wow! Still find some parts too draggy, but the last boos fight was ok. (since i watched it the first time I got no more expectations ) Hope they include the extended scenes(?) in the LE DVD/BD.

QUOTE(Calvin871989 @ May 10 2010, 11:55 PM) Yes. Why not? P.S : From a personal POV, i think Iron Man 2 is an enjoyable movie continuing its story line from Iron Man 1. I think its quite interesting to see he's vulnerable as well even when in people's mind he's invincible. The only part i don't quite get its how he studied and created the new 'element'. It's a bit 'deep'. QUOTE Iron Man 2 is nearest thing to the Avenger movie, got Black Widow, Nick Fury, Captain America's 'shield' and so many more references Don't forget Thor after the end of the credit

QUOTE(n00b13 @ May 15 2010, 10:19 PM) I don't think the events of the movie bear out that interpretation. I know what you mean. It isn't obvious until you listen to Fury and Stark have their conversation.
