QUOTE(hypermax @ May 5 2008, 06:51 PM)
just wanna ask
since most of us share the same ip address, how can celcom cap the bandwidth??
sorry, noob to network related stuff.

Update:
Just called up celcom careline. Apparently, the 5GB quota applies to all the packages (D98, D68, and combo).
For D98, once more than 5GB date transferred, speed will be reduced from 3.6mbps to 1mbps. For D68 and combo, 384kbps to 64kbps.

Happy surfing and downloading guys.  doh.gif
*
for d98, even they reduced to 1mbps, i think it's still worth it...but d68, i think it just too much..at least they reduce to the EDGE speed, around 125kbps rclxub.gif

why my bitcomet does not making any progress since this morning...seeders are full but no progress... celcom throttling p2p ??
*
no i don't think so because today at work, i get to download using torrent smoothly. the speed around 30-60kbps. i think it's good enough for wireless bb. yet, it's still depend ur location because when i'm home, i can't torrent at all. have to use rapidshare instead

Dear Customer, you have consistently exceeded the allocation of 5GB/mth for Celcom Broadband. Please reduce your usage or risk having your speed controlled.

did any1 get such sms from celcom?
shit service still dare 2 send this kind of things shakehead.gif  shakehead.gif

i'm officially being capped by the 5Gb policy
then i called them to report about this and they confirmed about this matter
He said i have to wait 24 hours and the speed will back to normal
I ask him weather the 5G policy is for 1 month period
but he said, once we exceed 5 G policy, we just need to wait 24hour
then everything will come back normal

hmmmm...will clarify this after 5pm tomorrow

i'm D98 user

Thee..hee..hee.. I don't ask you for any proof? I don't say Celcom line is great .. I don't dare to say that my friend is the greatest since he is in Celcom. I'll just say that I have a problem with Celcom line and was told by my friend that they're having an upgrade at the moment? I believe you understand my statement?
*
i understand ur statement but they keep giving the same excuse since forever
if they capped the bandwidth, just tell the truth
no need giving the lame excuse

Can, why not? When I was back to PD and my Streamyx speed was terrible last week, I plugged in my HSDPA modem and it straight switched to Celcom broadband. smile.gif
I'm quite satisfied with Celcom Broadband recently, downloaded more than 20GB and I'm still safe. *Fingers crossed*
This early morning's BT speed was running constantly 80kB and above for each task. biggrin.gif
*
fruite u didn't pay yet ur 1st bill for d98 rite??
hmm for the 1st month of my subscribtion
yeah my download around 40G
then the 2nd month, they capped me when my usage exceed cry.gif
