Shabery: Behave or no more live telecast

INFORMATION Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek has lambasted some members of parliament who turned the House into a circus on the first day of proceedings, warning them that live telecasts may be cancelled.
The first 30 minutes of telecast yesterday was filled with arguments on technicalities such as oath-taking manner and order of questions, by the Pakatan Rakyat MPs.

Matters got out of hand with name-calling and cynical remarks between Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional MPs who ignored Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia's call for them to behave.

Shabery said his ministry may review the whole idea of having a live telecast of the Parliament session if MPs continue to behave badly.

"We have no intention of extending the telecast any longer if this is the kind of show the MPs are going to put up for the public."
He added that as long as MPs continued to have a third-class mentality, his ministry would ignore all calls to air full Parliament sittings despite the possibility of a high rating.

I feel it is important because if it wasn't, no one would bother to raise their hand. Also, asking for 6 out of 10 questions is fair considering there were more PR MPs asking compared to BN MPs.

As a matter of fact, many criminals have gone free on technicalities because of inept & shoddy police work.

Yawn... more bickering...
It's just the Opposition trying to show their power and the BN guys were stupid enough to join in.

Can we get some real work done?

<Oh, unlike police work, no one goes to jail for skipping some protocols.>
