btw, if u wanna check if it got 8 mem chip, check at the back of the card, u can see 8 solders around the heat sink fan(u can also peek into the heat sink from the sides to see it)

Yeah...i wanted to ask how do you check without ripping out the heatsink/fan to know how many memory chips there are.

hey guys....do u think 9800 GTX can run on my system with a ayam brand 460W PSU ? Juz look at my signature. sorry i know this is kinda out of the question...but due to the up and coming of GTX280 series... hopefully i can get a 9800GTX or even a 9600GT...or is the 9600GSO still considered worth getting ? Advices. plz.

Lol...Doubt that will make any difference la... Maybe a 2 or 3 degrees in differences only. Plus if u rip out their stock cooler, you usually void the warranty..am i right ppl?

Gosh i wanted to get 9600GSO OC Galaxy this coming monday but upon hearing the 6 memory chip i'm begining to be doubtful.... i'm from penang and this and the man selling it to me has to order from kl...sigh cry.gif ... some 1 convince me to get it and if there is still any chance for it to overclock. Oh yeah... and 1 question. What if i use an asus mobo to refresh the bios and than plug it back into another mobo....does it still have any chance in remaing as a 512Mb ? notworthy.gif thanks all.

Sad to say, i'm no longer eyeing on 9600GSO ade. wanted to but that damn salesaman keeps post phoning my order. So now looking at ATI 4850. biggrin.gif since the new series are out, this part of the form seems kinda quiet. Only the kings ( Successful Mod) are busy sharing their creation biggrin.gif
