cheapest i've seen so far is rm390. what's the minimum power requirements to run 9600gso/8800gs? if 380w can use ar? coz last time i tested 9600gt with 380w psu, no funny probs. might get a 96gso or 88gs as my next upgrade. hehe.

@OC4/3, rm360 izit the vanilla GSO version and rm399 the OC version? if like that it's considered very cheap d lo. But last time i went there they said galaxy 1-year warranty only. that's why cheaper than other brands. @bulibulizaimon, i think it depends on your preference coz both are identical in specs. some brands dun offer 9600GSO but only 8800GS. so again it's your call. i personally wouldn't mind 9600GSO or 8800GS, for me warranty period is the most important.

I've heard somewhere that 9600GSO is actually a renamed 8800GS. Hence, the identical spec.
You could break 10k 3DMark06 if you're using a more powerful processor.

just found an interesting article, saying that it's possible to unleash such chipset based cards potential, by flashing it using 8800GT bios. No idea whether it's true or not, here's the source btw 9600GSO --> 8800GT

Yeah, its the same. Just rebrand and official use of new nvidia driver. Dunno whether nvidia will provide cheap tri-SLI solution. Just imagine 9600GSO on tri-SLI, maybe more powerful than 9800GTX.

i read that 9600GT sli can on par or beat 9800GTX, so if really can tri-sli means can reach almost 9800GX2 standard d btw, anyone here got or dare to try the 9600GSO-->8800GT bios flash? This post has been edited by dlwl: May 31 2008, 01:37 PM
