Guys,

I just bought shoot-em-up BD hoping to test my 7.1 setup with PS3 firmware 2.3.
PS3 indicates that it is decoding DTS-MA 7.1 but my amp says it's getting MPCM 5.1 streams. There is no sound coming out from the rear surround speakers (the rest of the 5.1 channels are ok). I read on some AV forums that there's a bug in firmware 2.3 that prevents a 7.1 output for BD titles from New Line Cinema (the ones that are encoded with DTA-MA 7.1). Anyone having the same problem? Any news on yet another firmware upgrade (most of the discussion tends to conclude that it's a firmware issue).
