get a ps3 RM13XX as your blu ray player. Some member (I believe aiman04) only use it to watch movies and not for gaming.

a standalone player cost around 2999 (maybe cheaper now)

PS3 upgradeable firmware (for BD profile update) is a good feature which current? standalone player does not possess

not sure real bd rip or DVD in blu ray casing

all look the same except the casing a bit cheapo looking.
