Agree, 10,000 B.C. bloody falls flat. Worse than sitting thru 2 hours of somebody dragging their fingernails on a blackboard.

Definitely the reason for buying Hostel in BD is to see the brows.gif better.

If all you're getting is a look (high definition look nonetheless), why even bother when you have the real thing? People are weird. They yearn for things yet they fail to realise that they already have those things they wanted in front of their eyes.

Should i cabut too? The opposite side perhaps?whistling.gif

I don't get your argument. So if I yearn for Jessica Alba, I shouldn't bother because I already have the real thing? blink.gif

Or you're just trying to say that one jubblies is the same as another jubblies? Now that's not entirely true ain't it? Even if the exact duplicate set of jubblies is attached to two different "carriers", the experience with each one can be quite different. whistling.gif

BTW, wtf kind of word is jubblies anyway? laugh.gif

Sorry lah, that argument really cannot hold water. Basically I take it to mean that if you're "lucky" enough to have Sharifah Aini or Cherie Blair at home, you should not have any satisfaction to be derived from watching Jessica Alba in high definition glory in the movie Into the Blue.

Stringfellow, there's no obsessing around here, certainly not on my part. I think it's just some red blooded males here talking in jest, so just lighten up will ya?

FYI, if I were to name my top 10 favourite movies of all time, there's no bare boobies in sight in any of them. In fact, right up there at or near the top of my list is Shawshank Redemption, which I can't even recall having any covered boobies.

Neither would I buy a movie just because there's boobies in them, but if they happen to have, I have no qualms about admiring them. Admiring the female anatomy on screen certainly does not diminish my enjoyment of the real thing.

On a similar vein, does watching a love story make you desire less to be in a real relationship? Or watching a comedy diminish the humour of real life funny situations?

I think there's no place in a forum like this to preach your moral judgements. Lowyat net for people who like gadgets. Stuff magazine also for people who like gadgets. Have you ever wondered why that magazine puts babes on their cover and inside? Think about it.

Wah, you obsessing about her ah? I pity your wife/gf lor. whistling.gif

Actually if I want to argue the other way also can. After you beh tahan watch her, since Marisa ain't in your home, your partner will be the one that "reaps the benefits". So it's actually healthy for your relationship to obsess. brows.gif

Judging from the last post i did till this page, i can only shake my head. The intention was to keep the whole discussion mainly about BD and making the whole discussion look somewhat civilised and proper, after all it is "All Things about Blu-Ray". I would love to have the discussion here to somewhat resemble the level of quality and maturity in the AVSForum (the good ones, not the fanboyish blabbering kind), but it looks like the lot here would rather have it kopitiam-style, sitting down with one leg propped on the stool while talking boisterously about women anatomy. Ashamed to link this forum to those rednecks,......yeah, they do hoard and stuff, but at least when it comes to conversation and discussions, they're civil and know their limits.

Carry on, no point "blowing a gasket" like someone pointed it here , over something the crowd here have unanimously agreed that is tolerated and encouraged, that's the way you wanted this whole section to become. I guess most of you guys here would rather have this forum here looking like an IM conversation rather than a fruitful discussions, boobs and all.

I'm in CA. at the moment, and am open to BD purchases from Amazon to be brought back from US. Only coming back to KL end of this month, so that i can bring back the two National Treasure BDs with me. Any takers, i'll see if i can do the same for you.
*
Yes, guys do get a little carried away sometimes, and if your intention was just to steer the topic back on track, all you could have said was something along the lines of "Guys, let's get back on topic shall we?". But no, you chose to step up onto your moral soap box and form all kinds of judgement about people "obsessing, fantasizing, fawning and worshipping movies with boobies", and talk down to us like a bunch of pubescent teenagers.

Anyway, news flash to you... it's quite possible to be mature and at the same time, have the occasional light hearted harmless fun.

If everybody were to keep every post as civil, mature and politically correct as you wish for, this would indeed be a boring forum. I hope never to see that day.

And just to remind you, I was the one who expressed surprise at why anybody would choose to buy Hostel on BD.

"Act, talk and type like adults!"
*shakes head* Seems like we got some moral policeman/teacher/parent in the house. No wonder you describe yourself as a recluse.

Yeah, it seems that our sophisticated elitist here is too brainwashed by the developed countries' need to be over politically correct, that he even has issues with kopitiam culture.

In this case, the crowd here have taken many things for granted, and have not given anything back that is worthwhile reading (other than comic relief and "occasional" boobies jokes). wink.gif

Time to change, you guys did it with the general election. Otherwise, you'll forever be brushed aside as another "nonchalant" and "occasional" tech-enthusiast community. Your choice.

Since the standards of this forum doesn't seem to live up to the heights of the AVSforum, I can only see one course of action for you. Unless you think that you are the one man messiah capable of bringing sweeping change to Malaysian culture.
