QUOTE(stringfellow @ May 13 2008, 05:42 PM) And i thought i've heard it all. Notch a few up for the "male raging hormone" reasoning, although i find the real-life jubblies/knockers gives the highest definition "picture" there is of that, not to mention more satisfying tactile feeling too. Too busy watching and not "getting"? The same real-life jubblies everyday? |

QUOTE(Audio Nirvana @ May 13 2008, 06:25 PM) I don't get your argument. So if I yearn for Jessica Alba, I shouldn't bother because I already have the real thing? Urban Dictionary Or you're just trying to say that one jubblies is the same as another jubblies? Now that's not entirely true ain't it? Even if the exact duplicate set of jubblies is attached to two different "carriers", the experience with each one can be quite different. BTW, wtf kind of word is jubblies anyway? |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ May 13 2008, 06:55 PM) My BD arrived already. But so sad I'm still away. Mega, keep it for me, will only be back on Thursday. I read some comments about bad PQ on old movies here. Old movies won't automatically have bad PQ. Many older movies (before late 1970s) uses 70mm film stock. With that kind of perforations, the resolution would be super ultra high. One example is 2001: A Space Odyssey. 35mm movies will still give ultra high resolution. Blade Runner was shot using 35mm anamorphic Panavision (2.35 ratio stretched to 1.33, meaning every single perforation will be used), and was scanned at 4k resolution before being downscaled to the BD resolution. Some movies were shot on 35mm Super35, with top/bottom parts cropped for theatrical release. This will give it some loss in resolutions. Example, Robocop. That said, it will also come back on the condition of the film itself. The special edition Star Wars on DVD was physically cleaned using chemical solutions, then scanned to digital form before being cleaned again by Lowry Digital (now part of DTS). |
