There already SE modding thread,but it in general discussion for all SE phones line, so i think want to start new topic specified for k800 and k810 modding so we can share all stuffs and knowledge about this two ultimate phones!!

yup,these codes used to change ur phone system..just copy it to notepad rename as .vkp file and patch using setoolite or JD flasher

er, are you using SE phone ? that SEUS (or something like that, forgot its name) is bundled into the application CD. just plug thru USB and connect your phone to the internet .. but there is downside of it, i heard new firmware are un-reversible and X++ hasn't support this firmware's version yet.

if failed to patch,u can reflash ur MAIN back..and if failed to flash the MAIN,can try SEUS and XS++ too

I need it badly! I have a Silver K800i but it is flashed to normal version, btw can I have MAIN & FS, APAC CID52 (China or HK, that support chinese)

I got a K800i dead... XS++ cant detect.. When I press the ON buttons the infrared got red blinking light..

How to flash this phone if like this? Please help.. URGENT!!!

How to make it works like normal again???

err, if you can't get your phone to connect to X++ then there will be no flashing available .. can you switch on that phone ?

using SE Tool Lite is not as efficient as using far manager with jdflasher plugin...

i myself prefer using jdflasher coz its faster...

the bitrate of ur mp3 file also play an important role..im using 192kb bitrate..just using normal setup equalizer because im using stock earphone,if using mega bass equalizer the sound will too bassy like my earphone wanna blow out!

for sound acoustics, i use hyper extreme v3...

vande i used that acousitcs but too loud man i on speakerphone during call too loud, need to reduce the volume alot..

what Nidz said is true..sometimes occur when the same code or same block u have patch before same with the patch u tried to use..the other possibility is ur FW version is not same with ur patch..

i just flashed my k800 n it was working just now. i turned it off n try to turn it on it wont turn on any more... the red light in the infrared port is blinking... any solution? is my battery dead or wat?

first situation is when u have applied one patch (lets say patch A) to ur phone... in making the patch, the patch maker have 'sacrifice' some existing image in the phone (thats what we call 'donor images') to make space for the new image that is bigger than the original size... for example, u wanna change the standard key lock icon by applying patch A... in the key lock icon patch, the maker use the 'chicken' image as donor image...
so, when u wanna apply patch B, lets say its the 'silent' icon, u must make sure that the patch maker did not use the 'chicken' image as the donor image, coz it will contradict with patch A, thus giving u the mismatch error....

next, u wanna apply patch B, lets say its file manager icons pack which include also key lock icon, but the icon is different from patch A.
in this situation, u cannot apply patch B coz it contains key lock icon that have been replaced by patch A, even the icon itself is different... so, wut u need to do is to remove patch A before applying patch B, or if u wanna do it the hard way, compile ur own gfx patch, like i did... sweat.gif

there is no significant difference in display driver, except brightness, black color enhancement and a little faster .gif animation.

I want to upgrade my firmware but i've been reading that u need some custpack to finalise the patching
Currently my fone firmware is as follows

at the customization just select k800 apac and just flashed it..
it would be the same rite?
if k800 is flashed to k810..u need ur own custpack..which is the lightfix..

Haha same with lar bro lol.. Somehow this new firmware i find the sms typing slower..and the icon where u use big or small letter or number mode on top when u type sms..its moved abit to the right..not in the middle..is urs like that also?

No menu icons is ok just when u type sms u noe on top the middle they will put if ur using A, a or Aa or 123..that small box is to the right abit..not in the middle..i thought lastime it was in the middle and i didn't apply any patches so far after flashing to new firmware.

sometime..when my phone dead..i do reflash..but still cant switched on..
then i found at the internet to update the erom first..then my phone can alive back..

i use the right one..t6 rite..
but when i use t6..it dont fit..so i use t5..
the top t6 screw got haus..huhu..

i also open the speaker..the green board one that got umts..speaker are so small..not like normal speaker..
its easy to open laa..no worry actually..i godeh and touch everything but my phone still healthy..

yup..if u convert using k810 firmware then u must use k810 vkp..the firmware info for th vkp can be read in the vkp itself

Umm, I am very interested in modding my new K810i now, but my only concern is the warranty void. Now let me get this straight, if I back up my original GDFS file somewhere, and flash it back if anything goes wrong with my phone, will it still leave any traces that will lead to void of warranty?

nope..it will leave no traces..but bear in mind that it might void ur warranty if somehow ur system have problem like erom corrupted or ur GDFS corrupted..all in ur own risk..

that all depends on u the way how u want to mod ur k810..if u like to customize the way of ur GUI,u need to customize using GFX patches,if u want to mod the system file,u use the system patches..also,u can mod ur current stock driver like camera and acoustic to other custom driver..my recommendation is change ur acoustic driver as we all know that k810's speaker is so slow and soft!

its the matter of luck and ur percentage of being careless when mod..

there's two way to remove the operator logo AFAIK, first u can change the layout and another way is by patching a vkp file..

to prolong ur sms time,u need to patch a vkp file to change ur current phone's script..

first u need to identify ur current FW which is to determine which vkp file need to use..

then u need to bypass ur phone's DB2020 security using qamaker.vkp to allow vkp file been patch to ur phone..

then only u can patch the vkp file and hear ur sms tone more than 1 minute..

the risks are, among others, when suddenly ur erom corrupt, or got problem with patches, and ur phone can go crazy sometimes....

u are rite..there's a lot of risk..GDFS corrupted is the most worried problem..that's why in other modding forum also u can see 'DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK' been highlighted..maybe for others that know well about modding and can encounter any problem that appeared won't worry too much, but for those who are beginner in modding, maybe should be more cautious..

XS++ is the only program I use =/ Wanna play with VKP and ELF but then have to use JDFlasher. I'll wait till later when I'm more adventurous.

Anyone knows any way to change fonts and use with chinese as well? Usually changing fonts will render chinese unusable.

u need to check ur M2,most probably because of M2 error..BTW what have u done that makes this problem occur?

i've experienced this a while ago when suddenly pulled out my usb cable when its in file transfer wizard..did not use proper steps to pull out..then i flashed back and all working normal back.

k lite codec for phone..never heard bout this before..mind to tell more? AFAIK phone's like k810 didnt require codecs as it already set for 3gp,mp4,mp3,aac,amr

first of all, u need to understand that k800/k810 has 3 different flash mode, namely forced flash (FF) or auto flash, flash + red eye reduction (RER) and no flash...
u can use * button on ur keypad in camera mode to change these settings to suit ur needs. different environment requires different settings...

basically, this camera driver has been set to have different functions based on different flash modes...
let me show u an example;
* Auto scene:

1) Flash AUTO: Daylight flash special mode I. Forced flash. For use in portraits at daylight. (1/6400s, Xenon ISO 250).
2) Flash AUTO + MACRO: Daylight flash special mode II. Forced flash. For use in portraits or macros at daylight. (1/6400s, Xenon ISO 100).
3) Flash RER: Party mode I. Flash not forced. (1/30s, Xenon ISO 320)
4) Flash RER + MACRO. Non-document macro mode. Flash not forced. (1/30s, Xenon ISO 100) *

ok, this is for the Auto scene. u can change it in setting>scene in camera mode...
first, if u use auto flash mode (the flash is always on) it'll automatically toggle setting no 1, which will set off the flash when u take a pic in daylight(normally flash wont go off under daylight). as it explains, it is suitable for use in portraits at daylight.

second, if u use auto flash with macro (can be set ain setting>focus, for taking close-up pics) it'll toggle the setting no 2, also used for taking portrait or macro pics at daylight.

the difference between setting no 1 n 2 is the shutter speed and the ISO settings, as mentioned above.

third, when u use reed eye reduction (RER) mode, it'll toggle setting no 3, where the flash is not forced.

same goes with setting no 4, when u activate RER mode with macro, it is suitable for non document close-up pics where the flash is not forced....

so, for other scenes as stated in the spoiler, u just need to toggle the flash mode on ur phone to suit ur needs when taking certain pics...

as for me, i just stick to auto scene, n just playing with the flash n exposure. its more than enuff...

im hoping that u could understand my explanation...

first of all, u need to understand that k800/k810 has 3 different flash mode, namely forced flash (FF) or auto flash, flash + red eye reduction (RER) and no flash...
u can use * button on ur keypad in camera mode to change these settings to suit ur needs. different environment requires different settings...

basically, this camera driver has been set to have different functions based on different flash modes...
let me show u an example;
* Auto scene: 

1) Flash AUTO: Daylight flash special mode I. Forced flash. For use in portraits at daylight. (1/6400s, Xenon ISO 250).
2) Flash AUTO + MACRO: Daylight flash special mode II. Forced flash. For use in portraits or macros at daylight. (1/6400s, Xenon ISO 100).
3) Flash RER: Party mode I. Flash not forced. (1/30s, Xenon ISO 320)
4) Flash RER + MACRO. Non-document macro mode. Flash not forced. (1/30s, Xenon ISO 100) *

ok, this is for the Auto scene. u can change it in setting>scene in camera mode...
first, if u use auto flash mode (the flash is always on) it'll automatically toggle setting no 1, which will set off the flash when u take a pic in daylight(normally flash wont go off under daylight). as it explains, it is suitable for use in portraits at daylight.

second, if u use auto flash with macro (can be set ain setting>focus, for taking close-up pics) it'll toggle the setting no 2, also used for taking portrait or macro pics at daylight.

the difference between setting no 1 n 2 is the shutter speed and the ISO settings, as mentioned above.

third, when u use reed eye reduction (RER) mode, it'll toggle setting no 3, where the flash is not forced.

same goes with setting no 4, when u activate RER mode with macro, it is suitable for non document close-up pics where the flash is not forced....

so, for other scenes as stated in the spoiler, u just need to toggle the flash mode on ur phone to suit ur needs when taking certain pics...

as for me, i just stick to auto scene, n just playing with the flash n exposure. its more than enuff...

Ok Nidz thanks for the explanation..understand it better now..im playing with all the diff scenes at the moment..kinda fun better than no toggling options at all..the Auto modes are not bad actually..i find that i take clearer closeup pics with RER+macro mode on (mode number 4) Cheers mate ! thumbup.gif

ive tried to install some elfs, n the installation is not that difficult...
its just troublesome when we need to edit the ini files to suit our needs...
but i havent come across this hippydave pack, so i guess i'll give it a try tonite....

it's not new .. quite long edy .. when the phone is on , wit light can see the keypadbutton abit rust , and the camera button well , it changes to a more rusty colour .. anyone experience it before ?

well, im not using k810, but my phone's camera button is kinda rusty...
the silver coating slowly wore off, n i can see rust abit...
btw, its not that much of a problem coz my phone's age is 1yr 8mths already... u really shud see my keypad, the plastic layer that coat the keypad also tore already... huhu...

well, finally i managed to install this elfpack... thumbup.gif
but rite now i only use bookmanager and screenshooter...
other elfs i just delete coz dont really use it...

My new K810 having a strange problem. When I was trying to activate the voice command, there is a dialog asking to "speak the name after the tone". But I just couldn't hear anything.

When putting the phone near to the ear, only I could hear the very very soft beep. After I spoke the name, the 1st time playback is also very very soft.

Strange enough, when I playback again the name recorded initially (i.e. 2nd, 3rd ... times), the recording is clear and loud.

I wonder this could be fixed by modding? Thanks!!

u can find patch that used for specific models at the top of the script..if its written for k800 firmware,then it only can be used for k800 phone..

Like old Nokia 6610... you can create folder(s) inside "Messages" and keep any sms into any folder you like...

I was hoping so much that folder(s) can be created in K810i to store smses... blush.gif

hi there another k800i (AP set) user here.have had this phone for about 1.5yrs still going good eventho i've bloody dropped it a million times and once into the f*ckin' toilet as well!! hehe! =)

anyways am a newbie at hp modding but i'd like 2 thank mr.vandechrome for creating this post as it has pointed me in the rite direction! so far i've flashed my firmware 2 da latest R8 using XS++ and 'upgraded' my scoustics to pete's w800i xtreme acoustix.

btw wat do camdrivers do? does it change the format and options of our existing cam software? adds extra options? and how do i 'patch' my phone (e.g: wanna kill the 1000sms limit thingy or minimize bluetooth transfer window etc...) using the XS software?? hope someone can gimme a dummies step-by-step. thx alot very much appreciated

btw wat do camdrivers do? does it change the format and options of our existing cam software? adds extra options? and how do i 'patch' my phone (e.g: wanna kill the 1000sms limit thingy or minimize bluetooth transfer window etc...) using the XS software?? hope someone can gimme a dummies step-by-step. thx alot very much appreciated

ya welcome bro..this oni a little help i can give to k800/k810 user..others depend on ur ability to share and to mod..

camdrivers can be mod to enhance the quality of the image, there's plenty of camdriver with specific usage..so browse more for the type of camdriver that u prefer to use first before mod..it is because modded camdriver are been set to specifically setting in terms of the ISO,WB n others..

for patching, use setool lite if u are new to the patching process..or maybe u can try JD flasher..

im flashing my sister's k800i now and flashed it to R1KG001 and also flashed the MAIN to unlock db2020 lock edi to put vkp patches..now when i on the fone it says insert correct sim card..i think its coz the fone is made for vodafone sim cards coz the vodafone logo is in front..is there anyway to remove this lock?

yeah need to reflash hahaa...but i kinda confused with those MAIN and FS files....plan to flash it to k810 FW hahaa...but dunno how

Hmmmm i exchanged phone with my fren who owns a k810....exchanged with my k800 for 2 weeks plus....then got it back yesterday....everything was fine and working properly till the moment i inserted my sim card and MS to the phone and try to click on the Games and Application folder ..it stated there "operation failed" sigh

any idea wats the charges to reflash it?

where are u from? normally shops will charge u rm40-rm60 for reflash..but why u wanna waste ur money when u can reflash it by ur own..just need to read the tutorial how to flash ur k800 by ur own..

my mom's k800i does not support chinese and therefore, whenever she play chinese songs, the title wil display those squares and weird characters. how do i make the her phone supports chinese? do i have to flash it to k810i so that it supports chinese?

i updated my firmware via SEUS, and when i learned about XS++, it says that it supports up to CID52, but my phone is CID53 and it doesn't support my phone.

i think there's no way u can undo the CID version..all u need to do is sell of ur phone and find another phone that are using CID52 tongue.gif ..BTW have u check kat se-nse whether CID53 broken d or not?

it depend on damage cause... usually when the phone damage just flash it.. but have little problem if gdfs or erom problem... anyway there are still way to fix it ( but does not counter this problem yet ).. and the last hope is send ur phone to shop.. there are many tutorial u can download at the 1st page.. if u follow the rule and step, there are no problem to mod ur phone... gud luck...

the red light only appear when u are in low light shooting condition, it helps to assist ur camera for AF lock, so no way u can turn off the red light, because the phone does not have manual focus mode.

hi bro, firstly need to know ur phone CID.. you can check it by using SEtool by click identify button... make sure it CID 52.. yup, before u do a vkp patch u must apply quick access patch to break the CID... u can download the tutorial at the 1st post of this thread.. after that u can apply the patches....

it is k800 firmware but w880 music player...

i only patching the gfx..

SEUS izzit the update service function in our hp?

by using SETool2Lite, we can identify our hp info... normally tis "IDENTIFY" process would take how long?
juz now i try "IDENTIFY" my k810, but waited for >15mins oso nth out, izzit i miss out any steps?

so u now u can use ur setool2lite.. yup cid53 cannot do patch ...btw now u can juz change ur phone driver by using far + jdflasher plugin.. try google it..

huhue... dont know exactly when but i think jun last year...
actually there are software to downgrade CID but u need to buy credit from top sony..
and now they all try break the CID53 but there are only 50% chances...

maybe r8bf003 didnt support our region (CDA) ... so u must do it manually using XS++...
and u need to unlock it as it use other CDA...

for the privacy patch, u need to patch this script

are u flash ur phone to another k800 firmware or u convert it to k810? if u are still using k800 firmware, i think u cant use the privacy patch AFAIK there's only available for k810

if u want to mod ur k800, no need to convert, find those patches for k800 itself, other than that, if u want to convert, then oni use k810's patches.

You must do this one time! After that you will skip all this process!!!

1. Drag the MAIN file (.mbn) that you have in your phone on to qamaker.exe From the qamaker folder that comes whith SETool2 Lite 1.11; this will create a vkp file;
2. The vkp file created in step 1 put it in to MISC FILES;
3. Click bypass db2020 security;

u need to check whether u in CID 53 or CID52, from what i know..CID53 still cant be patched.

i flashed my k800i (terupdated cid53) to k810i (cid53) so nice.... erm i saw in esato there can patch cid53... anyone tried it yet?

hi all sifu..need help.

just now my phone got WSOD after the sony logo.
from what i read @ net...all suggest to flash it back or update with sony update...so i did it..

the WSOD seems gone! n my phone boot up like normal. BUT ....can't detect any sim i put it...y ar?

i check with xs++ firmware DB2020 CID53

My faithful K810i speaker (ringtone/mp3 etc) suddenly not working...no sound at all. However mic and earpiece can hear.

Sometimes, SIM not detected... sad.gif

Any recommendation for phone repair shop in PJ area?

yours is java got prob. u have to reflash the firmware...this prob very common is se phones...

use floAt's Mobile Agent (FMA), it is a nice software n recommended....work on any phone in pc.....
