Hi guys, recently I have re-configured a car sound system. However, I did notice there is a hissing sound. Tell me what is that ?

that is so called aeroplane sound or 'turbo' sound... there's a thread about it here in ICE. Usually cos by lousy equipment or bad wiring.

err ... it's not the turbo or aeroplane sound ...
if turbo/aeroplane sound means when we accelerate more, the sound will drag longer and higher. But this is just a hissing sound only. If we accelerate, nothing happen. Just a normal hissing sound. |

QUOTE(craziechild @ Apr 30 2008, 10:22 AM) its called floor noise... He is right. It can be due to high gain. I faced the same prob. I bought the isolator, and the hissing/turbo sound reduced dramatically. Still got la, but not much.like loon said either your amp gain is too high... or its from the chain link before the amp... guide us through the system if you can... cheers... The reason for the hissing also may due to bad wiring, interference and many more. |

Ur hissing sound might be high distortion in some part of ur system. Hissing will get louder in higher volume.
