Q: Can I buy a phone from the USA/UK/Singapore, and ship it back to Malaysia? I can save a lot of money..
A: New user policy requires that you sign a contract with the local carrier on the spot. So unless you're willing to pay the high price of a prepaid/unlocked 3G iPhone, you may no longer do so.

So that mean if I ask my friend to buy the 599 USD 3G iphone from US and bring back to Malaysia, I will be able to use it in Malaysia straight away. I don't have to unlock/jailbreak anything?
If that Iphone has any problem, Can I bring to Singapore and repair (of course when Singapore have release the 3G iphone)? For my thinking, I think it is valid, but I need some expert to confirm pls...
Thank you all in advance
