my budget is around RM700 and less. I am thinking of VOX ad15vt or any cheap one. I heard you can get that for 600++. mesa is too expensive.
my current setup is gt-6, ibanez at300(borrow from a friend), xotic bb preamp. right now i m using really cheap amp...
btw, I am trying to get andy timmons tone but dunno how...

kustom 12A = 600? wow, almost twice the price from this website http://www.music123.com/Kustom-Tube-12A-Pr...145535.Music123I can just buy one here in us but i dunno how to bring it to malaysia.. i dunno whether it is better to ship it or just buy one in malaysia. I want to bring it inside the airplane but already got two luggages, one hand luggage, one laptop bag. I dont have many things to bring back, but I assume the amp itself wont fit inside my luggage. Any other practice amps that sounds good? I am looking for something that sounds like jazzy, bluesy, not too metal This post has been edited by afhm: Apr 29 2008, 12:46 PM

is there any better amp than vox/kustom? i need sth around that price range. Btw, i just figured out the price range for full tube amp, sorry for asking the same question twice. QUOTE(Everdying @ Apr 29 2008, 11:26 AM) the valbee isnt that great. the kustom is the tube 12a...around RM600. and i thought the vox had the tube in the poweramp. whatever it is they will never sound like a tube amp at full blast

btw, I found an all tube amp, Peavey ValveKing Royal, for USD199. Is this model available in Malaysia? if so, at what price? http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pea...-Amp?sku=481661

QUOTE(sean392 @ Apr 30 2008, 07:09 PM) That is correct. You'll need to do research for a well known brand for the transformer, don't risk your amp getting fried =) Can you recommend me some of good transformer too? thanks. I have been using Rm50 cheap one at home, but I feel a little bit skeptical..

QUOTE('62jaguar @ May 1 2008, 09:33 AM) emm..haven't to swee lee web or actual store...not sure if they have... QUOTE(afhm) Can you recommend me some of good transformer too? thanks. I have been using Rm50 cheap one at home, but I feel a little bit skeptical.. not really sure on good step down TF..but just keep in mind that if the watt/ampere of the amplifier is let's say 50..so get higher for the TF...not really remmeber..need to ask my fren...he's quite good in electrical/electronics... the one I got is higher than the required watt, but it is a cheap'o brand with two pin plug. any suggestion for a good one? like good brand, very reliable, safe, etc..
