Hi

It will be an annoyed spot if girls with big ugly BCG scar on the arm....ended up gotta cover by wearing shirts with sleeves all the time. Definitely doesn't look nice in photo...

If anyone out there having same problem please dun hesitate to share. I would love to know if there is any treatment for it (to reduce the size)?

Its actually a form of keloid. My BCG is roughly the shape of the tip of a cottonbud. I had other big scar on my elbow. Since the tissue stretch frequently, it form a small bunch of scar tissue. Yes, it makes me self-conscious but Its been 10years since I had it and it doesn't bother me much as it was then.

Hmm.. My skin darkens frequently when it was injured. My left leg suffered the most.. lol... even a mosquito bite darkens my skin and it take months for it to vanish. Sigh... I just give up.

Something with steroid (cream) in... I heard it reduces the scar that swells on surface of skin... Doctor told me about the BCG scar... and also I read on online websites but not too sure what it is called specifically... go to the pharmacist or doctor...

It could be a keloid. There's a jab to reduce the size of it, maybe you could consult a dermatologist to see your options.

i used to have a very big BCG scar on my arm. it is very big and round. and the color is kinda like brownish red. my frends used to tease me that it looked like a button. but after few years, it slowly change. the color faded and it look not that obvious now. and the size is smaller and flatter too. i am now 21 years old. i din't use anything on it.

long term use of bio-oil might help.

i have seen a little girl had an operation on the neck. the scar was huge and visible, so the mum use bio-oil for a few months, and apparently the scar is disappearing.

Injection....
Tat 's da treatment I 'm having now.

Can 't surgery & cut it off;
As keloid 'll grow out fr any wounds or cuts (even as tiny as pimple).

Keep good habitat in ur diet;
Coz it can grow on ur back & upper arm if u got pimples on those part.... cry.gif

same here, mine 1 is about 3.5cm long and 1.5cm width.
i heard before there's a plastic surgery clinic which located at KL area doing laser for such cases. but u gotta do lik up to 10 times or more...
each time will cost RM100++ depends on the size of the scar..

i never been there cos i m not stay at KL..

Thanks for your replies.... gals

Actually now i'm undergoing a monthly jap. Very painful one cry.gif

So far had 4 japs already and the scar kinda flatten but can't remove the scar itself.

Anyway i still wear sleeveless shirts. Sometimes with Cica Care pasted.

Who knows there are ppl out there looking for a solution like mine too when they see my arm

then i can provide consultation laugh.gif

Hello i heard bout the surgery too sort of a laser treatment....

But since it's a keloid so eventhough the scar is flatten through jap it will still growing by any chance in future.

So i think not advisable.

My BCG raised scar is about 4.5cm long and 1.4cm width. So it's very obvious sad.gif

Well, my gf used 2 had a big one too, kinda ugly la to be honest, coz mine was quite small, bout da size of half a cm.
Well, if its very very serious pob n its annoying u, u can try looking up skin grafting.

Yea, BCG can be done on da butt, but i won't want my gf's bcg to be n da butt, goodness, scars of all places. Its harder to heal at that place too.
